Eye-opener

Watching Indian movies is really eye-opening, I didn't expect that going to the toilet can trigger a revolution in India. I really don't know how to comment on the scene where the male protagonist's father urinated at the gate. The women went to the wild with spittoons in groups in the dark. I was curious how they did not get on their skirts? The power of a woman to go to the toilet was not thought to be a big problem in India, which makes me, a woman living in a socialist country, extremely happy. The heroine of the movie, a college graduate, falls in love freely with the male lead. Everything is perfect, but after she gets married, she finds that there is no toilet at home, and of course there is no public toilet. She can only go to the wild with the neighbor woman for convenience, so she asks to stay at home Building a toilet, but her father-in-law strongly opposed it, causing a series of contradictions. It's such a simple plot, but it's also very fresh.

Two and a half stars, it is not good for Indian films, it is still a challenge to tradition and women's issues to see the big from the small, the starting point is novel, and the references are sharp. But it took 50 minutes to get into the theme, the foreplay was too protracted, and then the progress was slow and the details were trivial. Many plots could be completely deleted or taken over.

Kumar also likes the perspective of social welfare. The rural nights are beautifully photographed, but it is not the missionary lines that leave the deepest impression, but the rough gray and yellow that is hard to hide, reminiscent of the grassroots in China. The production is really not as good as Uncle Mi and Fei Man's works. There are several unreasonable connections between the plots, and the supporting characters and comedy are not enough to catch people.
