I accidentally saw "Infernal Affairs 2" on Thunder, the introduction is: Wu Zhenyu pays tribute to the godfather. Out of curiosity, I watched it again (because The Godfather was only after I watched Infernal Affairs). As the pinnacle series of Hong Kong movies, the first part of the "Infernal Affairs" trilogy has been watched the most, because it has been shown on TV for a long time, and the plot can be memorized. But two and three have only seen it once or twice, so I can't remember exactly. I was very young when I watched it back then, and I just thought it looked good, but when I watch it now, I have some different feelings than before.
1. At the beginning, Liu Jianming killed Uncle Kun, an old man who was singing with his friends. At that time, he thought he was killing a person. Now I know that the image of this kind-looking underworld boss is a tribute to "The Godfather". After that, Wu Zhenyu played Ah Xiao with a gentle and elegant appearance, but in fact, he was also paying tribute to the second generation godfather with a ruthless heart.
2. Huang Qiusheng played Chief Huang, as a policeman, he is not completely righteous. Huang Xian instigated Mary, played by Carina Lau, to kill Chen Yongren's father (Uncle Kun), and then let Chen be an undercover agent to deal with his own brother, which was a cunning method. Although he wants to fight gangsters, he is friends with another gangster, Han Chen, played by Zeng Zhiwei. In my opinion, Huang is a very sinister person.
3. In this film, Ma Wu plays A Xiao, who takes over the position of her father's boss. This is my favorite role. Wu Zhenyu interprets Ni Yongxiao brilliantly with his excellent acting skills. He is gentle on the surface, vicious and cunning on the inside, hypocritical to face the outside world, and sincere to his family. It can be seen from the film that Ah Xiao knew that Chen was undercover, but he did not expose it. He hoped that his younger brother would come back and help himself and his family. But before he died, he found out what he didn't want to see in Chen, and ended in tears and hatred.
The trust in Chen is for the Ni family to look up to be a man, to find out the murderer of his father, and the sentence: "In the past, my father did everything for this family, and so did I, and I hope you do too." Ni Yongxiao's belief is— -Family.
4. After watching the trilogy in the early stage, I felt the saddest thing was Liu Jianming, who said that he wanted to be a good person but never did good deeds, and he couldn't die even if he wanted to, and in the end he sat in a wheelchair and endured torment every day. But after watching 2 yesterday, I found that Chen Yongren is the most tragic person, and also the most unsuccessful person. This is the most different thing I have ever felt before.
Chen Xinxin is a policeman. When Huang asked him why, he said "I want to be a good person". But he doesn't know that there are no completely good people in this world, no absolute good people. Huang Shen was a policeman who knew the law and broke the law to instigate murder, and even everyone in the police station sheltered him, which means that all the policemen in the movie are not completely good people. He can't even avenge his own father's murder, and because of his blind and foolish belief in his failure, he helps his father's enemy kill his own brother. Is this a good person? Is the world of gangsters really divided into good people and bad people?
When the big gangster dies, there will be another one, and it is impossible to catch them all. Instead of blind faith for stupid, it is better to change to a faith that can never be wrong: home. This is the belief of "The Godfather", as well as the belief of Chen's father and brother. One can't forget one's roots, and don't forget where he came from. For people who don't even have a family, no matter how well the police do, they are just a pawn for others.

It feels better than the first one, the whole style is more mature, am I a cult. Hong Kong actors are all very good, making Hu Jun's academy-style actors look like a slap in the face. (Looking at the mouth shape, I still speak Cantonese, which is dubbed in Putonghua, which is very unprofessional.) Edison Chen's acting skills are really talented, very smart, stronger than Hu Jun and better than Shawn Yue.

In fact, 2 is better than 1 in all aspects of script photography and performance. Wu Zhenyu is really strong and can make people move for him as a bad guy. I'm also very relieved that I didn't see Liu Liang, the second old man. Yu Chu showed his talent and is destined to be more successful than Chen in the future. As the only female character in 2, Carina Lau is more convincing than the two in 1.
