naive at gunpoint

There is a grumpy but powerful man who has a military dispute with the gang. One side gets rid of them quickly, and the other side is desperate.
Ironically, he met a child, but in desperation (it's easy for a man to be helpless, it's enough to be weak enough), the man took the child on the road.
The man is not only responsible for the food and accommodation of the child, but even gives up a confidante because of this. In the end, the child was captured by the gang, and in order to save him, the man took revenge.
Of course the ending is good.
The bear's story is as simple as that, but with the men and children replaced by bears.

It's hard to imagine how a feature film with animals (a mother bear and a child bear) as the protagonists was filmed. It is estimated that the filming of the film is not as difficult as Ang Lee's "Fantasy Drifting of the Young Pi" - after all, 1988 was not so good. Curtain technology and CG technology. Most of the film about the bear is shot in real location, which is very rare. The story of a man and a bear adapted from facts, the love between a mother and a bear, and the relationship between a man and a bear, have many meanings.

The director of this film tells the story of the bear completely according to human emotions. Although it is not a documentary in the true sense, such an unimaginable production is still amazing enough. Anthropomorphism is useful in all kinds of expressions. The best part of this story is that it really puts animals and people on an equal footing and observes it from a completely natural perspective. The last thing worth mentioning is the director's control of the sound, except for a few points in the whole film

The Bear quotes

  • [first lines]

Bill: [examining bear tracks] That's a huge male; bet he's more'n fifteen hundred pounds.

  • Bill: You see, I don't like to ask folks questions; everyone has a secret side. By God, that's the way it should be.
