Henry Golding's Snake Eyes look a bit earthy. His gentle speech is not a disadvantage, but it will increase the confusion of the character. Several female characters are also quite bright, each with their own skills. But the core of the story is the love and killing relationship between Snake Eye and White Ghost. The two of them are a bit like Professor X and Magneto, and the two have similar stature and skills. There are many rival scenes together. I think someone will definitely stand for this pair of CPs.
The disadvantage is that the fighting is not strong enough. After watching the assassins in "Wolverine 2" and "Mortal Kombat", the audience may feel that the assassins in this film are more of a posture, lacking that kind of ruthlessness, not enough Enjoyable. The villain is also vulnerable in the end, and the film ends too easily.
As an origin movie, it has completed its purpose, allowing people to have a more three-dimensional and comprehensive understanding of the two perennial masked characters Snake Eye and White Ghost, and also paved the way for the complex relationship between them. There is an Easter egg shortly after the film ends, not after the subtitles. The reason I waited until the end was because the music for the credits was so good.
