I love this movie in large part because the old mother in it reminds me of my grandmother. Since my grandmother passed away, I have been particularly incapable of seeing old people. Whenever I meet them, I always stare at them unconsciously. The old man in the film, with sagging skin on his face, cloudy eyes exposed under the quilt, slow movements, and a concerned and sad expression, are exactly the same as his grandmother. When the neighbor's little daughter stood at the head of the bed with her cat in her arms and looked at the old man, I could just imagine the old, muddy smell she could smell, which was the unique smell of a room with an old man lying in bed for a long time. On a sunny winter day, there is also the smell of dust baked by the sun.

This movie is lonely.
The wilderness is lonely, the beehive in the wilderness is lonely, the heroine who takes the beehive is lonely, and the heroine's mother who is bedridden all day is lonely. Scattered houses are lonely, deserted villages are lonely. Even the neighbor's ten-year-old child is lonely.
