I'm glad that finally the protagonist wakes up, no matter how much candy the people in power give you, people can't live under power, everyone needs a strong and free mind. I don't know how many teenagers who were blinded by power and so-called authority during World War II. They became insensitive, cruel and turned into war machines. And the awakening of one teenager awakened another, and in the end they all understood that they, or human beings, should not live in such a world. Isn't the father of the suicidal teenager in the lake the saddest person? His incredible look at the protagonist at the end of the credits shows that he never woke up to the end. Perhaps, he will never be free in his life, nor will he have a beautiful, free and vast soul.
It's a tragedy to live in those war times. However, living deceived by power, selfishly believing that only violence can solve the problem, and arrogantly yearning for victory is a kind of unspeakable sadness. Only by dying consciously can you be reborn consciously.
