restrained and authentic adolescence

2019BJIFF's tenth show 4.11 Xiaoxitian is a very appetizing European movie. I really like the movie's description of adolescence. In the movie, my father's words "live your adolescence well, it will leave when you don't find it" really said In my heart, although I may never go back. Gender issues and marginal issues, European films seem to be more similar, there is no densely arranged conflict drama, no exaggerated inner activities, no boring forced reconciliation, no deliberately distorted political correctness. The dance, the solitude, the dialogue, the therapy in the handheld camera are all so real. Of course, there are also some routines in this shooting method. The camera follows the female protagonist's back and walks through the streets. The routine even makes me a little out of the way. The clear swallowing and breathing sounds in the recording of the dialogue passages are also very routine. However, in any case, following the development of the characters' lives truly allowed me to watch the details of transgender treatment like never before. It can be said that this in itself has been regarded as a contribution made by the film in the sense of popular science. Victor Bost's performance is delicate, profound and moving, and Lara's beauty is astounding, the more she looks, the more beautiful she becomes. I may never forget Lara's smile, her strength, bravery, shocking and distressing. Looking at her, I can't help but sigh about my luck and, of course, my laziness. I think for at least 100 minutes of the film, I've fallen in love with her.

A little surprising is that the original name of gender reassignment surgery is treatment, and the original "healthy body" obtained at birth can also be called treatment. Human beings really have to pay too much to be themselves. But on the other hand, does this kind of treatment reflect the arrogance of human beings?
