Run out of the battlefield and go home
Watching the movie
Wen/Chen'er
This is a story about friendship that happened during World War II. During the war years, fireworks filled the air and the fires of war continued. The North Korean boy Junji looked up to his new master, the Japanese young master Chenxiong. Both children like to run and are masters of running. Their acquaintance began in a simple game that only stemmed from childlike fun. If time just stops when they keep trying harder to surpass each other, even if they are in conflict, perhaps life can be as pure and pure happiness as they really are in their hearts. However, the disparate identities and destined nationalities, as well as an unstoppable war, made the simple confrontation between the two escalate into a confrontation of war.

As a general, Chenxiong came to Junzhi as a captive soldier, and the pride and superiority he showed were cold and biting. His national beliefs and national honor and disgrace had been deeply rooted since he was a child, making Chenxiong still cruel and ruthless on the battlefield. Chenxiong could have killed Jun value with a single shot, but he didn't do that. Apart from constantly insulting Jun value, he kept watching secretly. I believe that under the cold and cruel exterior, Chenxiong has a heart that is not bad. Can't say good, but at least not bad. When Chenxiong was also a prisoner of the Soviet army, and saw the bloody storm that the Soviet general forced the soldiers to rush to the German battlefield, he felt the inhumanity of what he did when he was the "head of the devil". The sudden awakening of a moment made his pride that he had been born with completely collapsed. Bullets flew around, artillery fire one after another, but he was covered in smoke and blood, but a line of men's tears fell.

The death of his compatriots, the corpses everywhere, and the raging fire of war in front of him made him feel an indescribable remorse. This kind of remorse is late, irreversible, and cannot be changed. This kind of enlightenment, in the cruelty of historical records, makes blood and tears truly and constantly torture the softness of human nature. If we can go back to the past, that simple innocence, if there is no war. ..Chenxiong woke up!

In the two hours of watching the movie, I have always felt that the confrontation between Junji and Chenxiong is only limited to the kind of struggle during childhood games, and has not really extended to the life-and-death hatred. Even if the identities are different and many times the two are gnashing their teeth and looking directly at each other. But whenever he saw Jun Zhi practicing running, Chen Xiong's wild face during the day would gradually soften at night. Jun-value saw that Chenxiong, a prisoner of Cangwei, swore not to bow his head in front of the Soviet army, and there was respect in his eyes. It was an unwavering statement: Brother, I support you! The war between them was actually just a "war" in the marathon. Therefore, while they are both captives, they can gradually understand each other and support each other.

"I often think back, the first time we met, the first race..." Jun Zhi's words often appear in the second half of the film. Memories are because of the oppressed present, facing the battlefield where the war is raging and bloody, and seeking comfort at the moment for the beauty of the past. For Jun-value, although he could only wear a pair of worn-out shoes at that time, he could race with the newly formed Chenxiong. Even if he was Chenxiong's servant, those days were still beautiful. On the battlefield, Jun value was deaf in order to save Chen Xiong. During the war, Jun value carried the injured Chen Xiong over the snow mountain and escaped all the way. Adversity sees the truth, and the two thought that they could continue to run together after running out of this battlefield, and ran back home. But in those days, little people could not control their fate. The dying Chenxiong heard that Jun-value, who was trying to find someone to rescue him, was taken away from outside the house, and their lives went backwards again.

In my opinion, the most moving scene in the movie is on the beaches of Normandy. Chen Xiong, in the disappointment of finding Jun-value countless times and failing countless times, suddenly saw the familiar running figure appear on the beach. Chen Xiong immediately ran against the flow of people, his steps were firm and powerful, tears welling up in my eyes. This indicates that after the two experienced the difficulties of fighting against killing and fighting for the same support, the two hearts of sharing weal and woe really returned to the simplest childhood. The eyes of the two met with tears in their eyes, how much they hoped the war would stop. All is peace.

At the end of the film, Jun value was left to die on the battlefield, although cruel, it also provided the best foreshadowing for the final two people's "fit" director wanted to express. The relationship between the character Junji, who was humiliated and suffered and became a prisoner of the Three Kingdoms, but still survived and wanted to go home, and the character of Tatsuo, who finally stood tall after a bumpy journey, seems to imply the sadness of the division of the country. The two people who were originally opposites, the Japanese master and the Korean servant, can finally turn their battles into jade and silk and become an inseparable part of their lives, so when will those originally one "nations" be reunited? Can the warmth of humanity overcome the indifference of war? The director of the film gave affirmation, then, can this "country" and that "home" in reality finally be combined into a "country"? On the beaches of Normandy, soldiers from different countries played football friendly. Why not stop at this happy moment and let the soldiers continue to find friendship in football, why the war will continue to happen later? This film is a call for peace, let the children on the battlefield go home, let the war stop, let the suffering people live in peace, let the division reunify, the director's hard work, the politicians of the authorities, can you understand? ...'

After a few battles, everyone died, only the two protagonists survived. Afterwards, the sky was freezing and the snow covered the mountains, and the whole world seemed to be only two of them... Then Zhang Dongjian was still dead, and Odagiri let him participate in the Olympics, embarrassing.
