One of the 99 classic movies of the year

I think "The General's Daughter" is one of the rare classic movies in 1999. When I first looked at it, I casually put it in the computer's CD-ROM drive... but it turned out to be exciting all the way through, and it felt as if there was no chance to breathe in the middle.

I like Travolta's performance, but he is very decisive. The suspense was gradually revealed in the film, and finally Qu said to the general: "I have the most courage! I want to push you to the trial bench!" The depressive atmosphere of the entire film was relieved, and it made people feel better. Feel very excited! Highly recommend it to everyone.

The General's Daughter quotes

  • [Sunhill asks Brenner why does he think Elisabeth Campbell was murdered]

    Sunhill: Why was she murdered?

Brenner: Well, possible motives for murder are profit, revenge, jealousy, to conceal a crime, to avoid humiliation & disgrace, or plain old homicidal mania. Right there in the manual.

  • [Brenner finishes fighting with the freedom fighter Belling]

Brenner: Oh, unclench your ass cheeks, Dalbert. The scary part is over.
