Amazing performance by De Niro and Jacki Weaver, simply amazing. Despite all the rave surrounding Silver Linings Playbook, to me this is still a rather typical romantic comedy with a rather predictable storyline. There are a few laughs here and there, and having Chris Tucker in it is also refreshing, the storyline is also sincere and meaningful, perhaps with better crafted characters than a typical rom-com, but nothing really jumps out. Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable experience, but one that I will rather forget quickly.

Word of the Year: Excelsior. When the sky is full of dark clouds, what you need to see is the gold border that the sun hidden behind the dark clouds draws on the dark clouds. I accidentally found the term silver lining before watching the film, and I was already moved. I also always feel that people who are a little bit more mad live more real and brave, not to mention that I am a bit bipolar myself, and I see it in the same way. Give four stars just for this theme, and continue to decline to comment on the love story.
