Sleepless at night

Always talk about other things before talking about business. Because the blog cannot be opened for a while, this post has to be a bit wordy.

It happened that I had insomnia when something happened the next day. I was still awake at three o'clock in the morning, listening to the hamster biting the water bottle. Recently, he runs a lot less frequently in the middle of the night, and even running is just a few metaphysical strokes. After asking my pet doctor, I learned that hamsters only have a lifespan of 2-3 years. I have to admit that my Dadun has already reached old age.
A while ago, I met a classmate who was also raising a hamster. I didn't know the gender of Dadun, so I wanted to find him a family relationship. Although he was greedy and a little stinky, he bit my finger. But it has become a habit to throw him a biscuit when he walks across the bookshelf. When looking for a book in front of the bookshelf, you must first say hello to him, which is also a step that cannot be skipped. I am afraid to lose him. But is it an emotional continuation to let him reproduce? Can I ask for names for Charlotte's children like Wilbur the little pig, without being sad? I don't know, maybe everything is silent words that don't take action. Until one morning, I got a small furry corpse with remaining warmth. When Charlotte died, Wilbur was still by his side, but where was my big trick? I couldn't hear his shouting, or even see his painful expression. He will leave silently, and no one will think of him anymore except me.
"Charlotte's Net" didn't leave me too many surprises. It was a miracle to be able to think of it on this sleepless night. This film is adapted from a best-selling children's book. Its brilliance is far from covering the charm of the original novella.
The story revolves around a piglet born in spring. He was rescued by the farmer’s daughter, who was supposed to be killed by the butcher knife, and was fostered at his uncle’s house. As a result, the piglet strengthened many friends in the barn, but the mouse told him that the piglet would be made into bacon in winter and become a Christmas meal. In order to help the piglet born in spring usher in the winter, seeing the snow, the spider Charlotte weaves words on the web, so that the residents of the town start to notice this ordinary piglet. In an animal competition, Wilbur won a special prize for Charlotte's net and finally became the first spring pig to see snow.
The story feels irrelevant from the beginning. Fanning's scenes were few and boring, and did not play a substantive role at all, making it touching, not touching, and preaching very preaching. When Charlotte wrote on the Internet for the first time, I was quite surprised, but when she used this trick again and again, she felt quite a failure. It seemed that this spider could not do anything but this ability, so Let me wait until she died, and I didn't see any other highlights.
What a wonderful combination of a pig and a spider, but what a boring story.

Charlotte's Web quotes

  • Charlotte A. Cavatica: Goodbye... my sweet, sweet Wilbur.

Wilbur: Goodbye, Charlotte. I love you.

  • Homer Zuckerman: Well, what can I say about this pig that hasn't already been said? I know a lot of you folks have come out to the farm and you've seen the words, and a lot of you have asked me, 'how could this have happened?'. I don't know, but it has happened... at a time when we really don't see many miraculous things. Maybe we do. Maybe they're all right there around us everyday, we just don't know where to look. There's no denying that our own little Wilbur... he's part of something that's bigger than all of us. And life on that farm's just a whole lot better with him in it. He really is some pig.
