You deserve everything good

My inner dialogue: "Do you know what kind of girl is the most beautiful?" "When you wear your favorite clothes, your face is full of confidence, and you don't care about the eyes of the outside world." I am not a turtle, and the shell cannot protect you. Me, the only one who protects myself is myself. I used to think that big girls can't have love, can't have beautiful clothes, can't have a shining stage. I used to walk down the street trying to shrink myself in a shell, and no one else could see me. But for a walk in this world, I am worthy of all the good things. Everything on the outside is not important, what is important is the confidence on our faces. If you are afraid of something, just go formal. Only by learning to face it will you become more and more confident. In the movie, Dolly said "Strive to understand yourself". Yes, try hard to understand, be brave, and pull yourself out of the shell. Whether you are a big girl or a smal girl, be brave to face life and conquer all with your confident charm. Your self-confident look is really beautiful! Each of us has a story, but "Outlook good". May we all have three things: enthusiasm, self-confidence, and hard work.

It’s a little inexplicable to tell everyone to break the stereotype, but in fact the whole movie itself is a stereotype.

After all, the first step for women is to approve of themselves, not to engage in meaningless struggles. That is not a revolution. It is actually an inferiority complex and disapproval of themselves. The way of self-defense can make people lose sight of the facts, become extreme, hide in their comfort zone, and be isolated by oneself. The hero is like Brad Pitt.

Dumplin' quotes

  • Ellen: Callie is doing the pageant this year. Will's mom is the pageant director. She was Miss Teen Bluebonnet in 1991.

Callie: Rosie Dickson's your mom? Really?

    Willowdean: Far as I know.

Callie: Hey, maybe sometime Elle Belle and I could come over and I could ask your mom some questions about the pageant. You know, just casually.

Willowdean: Well, unfortunately, my mom's not home all that much. She's either at pageant meetings or at the nursing home wiping old peoples' butts. It's what happens to a lot of ex-beauty queens.

  • Willowdean: "The difference between winning and losing is all in the details", she said.
