Enmity should be resolved but not settled. War means killing. So never war.

After the disintegration of Yugoslavia in 1991, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, one of its six republics, Muslims, Serbs, and Croats, these three ethnic groups had serious differences on whether they were independent. NATO’s policy of supporting the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina intensified ethnic conflicts and caused extreme antagonism among the Serbs, and war finally broke out.

In July 1995, in the tragedy in Srebrenica, more than 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men were brutally killed by Serb armed forces in a safe zone designated by the United Nations. This is the most serious atrocity on European soil after World War II.

Although the heroine Ada is working as an interpreter for the UN peacekeeping force, no matter how hard she tries, she can't protect her husband and two sons. She watched them be taken away.

The man was pulled into the auditorium by carts, and was shot at by the machine gun protruding from the eyes of the wall...

Years later, Ada found the shoes worn by her son in the bones and remains of the deceased who were cleaned up...

Enmity should be resolved but not settled. War means killing. So never war.

The film was nominated for the Venice Golden Lion Award.

The female perspective is not unique, but it is indeed relatively rare.//The war narrative starting from the female character looks softer and more delicate. The protagonist’s identity setting makes her seem to be able to take the lead, but it is often beyond her ability to increase the sense of powerlessness. With a soft temperament//The dramatic treatment adapted from real events still concentrates the narrative contradictions
