The movie tells the story of two boys who love each other because of their special status (one of the male protagonists is a Mormon), they are not recognized in a specific circle and break through the imprisonment.

The bartender, Chris, is a gay, unrestrained and passionate in nature and never conceals his unique sexual orientation. In his opinion, sex and handshake are generally commonplace, but just a common physical need. Stumbled upon that Aarron, who had a relationship with him, became his new neighbor. Aarron, with a blond T-shirt and a warm smile, was the prey of a $50 bet for Chris. Chris was surprised that there were people in this world who could resist his enthusiasm. So under the instigation of his friends, he tried his best to get close to it, and used a charming captive. Aarron was finally moved by Aarron to realize the true meaning of love.

I chose this movie because the poster itself is set to be warm and pleasant, exuding a delicate fragrance, just as if the juice tea is light and refreshing, it has a different taste. Facts have proved that the film won the third place (4th place) among the 50 classic GAY films of The Fifty Greatest Gay Movies, which makes people amazed at the correctness of the director's casting. Youth, SEX, love, discussion of human nature, care, friendship...itself concentrates the factors that make up the viewing of the movie, plus the love of the two male protagonists break through the standard performance as a selling point, youthful appearance, smooth skin and a bright and relaxed atmosphere Nowhere does it attract people who pay attention to the emotional world of GAY. Most of the GAY films are confined to the real environment, mainstream society, and negative laces because they involve the depths of human nature and give off a gloomy and malaise atmosphere, which can easily cause people to fall asleep and fall into depression and despair. In all fairness, this film is really the best choice as an introduction to GAY film. It wiped away some trembling commotion, created cultural conflicts, exuded colorful light under the emotional collision, and told the greatest education in life: the discovery of the meaning of love and tolerance of human nature.

Chris is a veritable devil, even a straight strange man who visits his girlfriend who goes to the wrong door can be hooked and bent by him. Chris, who has repeatedly won in love, is passionate, and handsome, Chris is the king in his life field, attacking one target fortress after another, invincible. That's why he persistently wanted to get the underwear from Aarron to reverse his only defeat in the history of hooking men. And missionary Aarron, Aarron with a shy smile, Aarron who is not good at expressing emotions, and Aarron is generally helpful as an angel. For the first time, he discovered the colorful charm of this world from his pure white world. In the public Chris, it is enough. Let the young Aarron get lost. The straightforward and strong expression of the deep love affair through desire is enough to make Aarron sink. If the story is so cliche that it describes the little lamb being eaten by the big bad wolf without leaving any bones left, or the angel succeeds in redeeming the devil from hell and regaining a new life, it would be too absolute and idealistic, and lose the story itself. Meaning. After all, tolerance and love are two-way in the end, a process of communication and being communicated, understanding and being understood. So the movie itself also adopted a tricky approach, choosing Aarron to fall into hell and lose his glory but win the end of Chris's true love from the heart.

Speaking of the key point of the film, Mormonism, its true name is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints" (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints), which allows polygamy, avoids abortion and homosexuality, due to the traditional Mormon Christians often wear white shirts and black ties and ride bicycles to preach, and because most of the door-to-door missions are young boys (the film itself also says that women are not allowed to preach ==), they shoulder the doctrine of pursuing the influence of others. The burden of others, the young boys themselves are still at the crossroads of human nature exploration. The open and weird world itself is a big temptation for them. The liveliness and personality of young people chase them. There are not many manifestations (the film itself also says that they are restricted by many things), conflicts of different cultures, the suppression of adolescents' personalities, and the impact of secular concepts, which make this seemingly mysterious sect appear to be overwhelming and unpopular. (Mormonism is almost demonized in life and images. The faith center, Salt Lake City, is the largest city in the USA with the lowest crime rate and divorce rate. Due to the suppression of ideas and the dual restrictions on human freedom, it does not look so cute. .) The film chose such a background, especially after Aarron fell in love with Chris against the doctrine and declared that he became gay. The family's incomprehension and the church's judgment were almost disastrous for a young man who was hesitating about life choices. Of course, the devastating blow was that Aarron learned that Chris got close to him for a bet of $50. Losing the support of love made him choose to cut his wrists and commit suicide to end his involuntary destiny. (Fortunately, the movie gave him a HAPPY END at the end, which not only saved his life and Chris' low mood, but also made the audience full of hope in life.)

Based on the above, and Steve Sandvoss's amazing performance, as one This is a gay movie, but it is still a good one, and it is recommended to watch.

A beautiful personal story, albeit a small one. Not in vain I took two days to go. Sakurako is right, there is not much meat, but it is beautiful. You want revelations engraved in gold, and angels trumpeting down from heaven? What if this is in stea

Latter Days quotes

  • Julie Taylor: We're shirts. You're skins.

Elder Aaron Davis: [pulls down the hem of his shirt blushing] Uh... no.

Christian Markelli: Fine, we'll be skins.

[both him and Juile take off their shirts]

Elder Paul Ryder: [looking at Juile's chest] Whoa!

    [walks into the basketball pole]

    Elder Paul Ryder: Ow!

  • Elder Aaron Davis: [taking care of Christian's cut] This is going to sting a little. Funny, I'm not squeamish. In high school we went to this hospital. I was the only kid who wanted to watch the surgery. So they help me scrub down, and then they gave me a set of scrubs - you know, those green things? To put on and everything... got a Band-Aid?

    [Christian hands him some]

Elder Aaron Davis: So anyway, I got to watch as they opened this guy's chest. And there it was, this human heart, you know? This human heart. You think about it beating and all, but it's more of a dance. And I couldn't get over that that's all that tethers us to this planet - this one fragile muscle. And how it's so tiny, really, in the big scheme of things. And when you think about all the things that can stop it... Well you just figure that there's got to be something else, something miraculous that keeps that valiant little muscle dancing.
