As a character, Ip Man can become popular on the big screen. There is a personal credit for the first film. He is not the starring role of Donnie Yen or the director Ye Weixin, but Xian Guolin behind the scenes. As a disciple of Ye Zhun, the son of Ye Wen, he has always wanted to put his master's story on the big screen. After years of working together, he finally raised funds and gathered Ye Weixin and Donnie Yen to recreate a master for the image of Chinese film and television.

In other words, the first part of "Ip Man" became popular, and it became natural to launch a sequel, so an almost completely fictional story was put on the screen. But for the popular Ye Wen brand, Xian Guolin feels that it has not been fully utilized. Yen Zidan’s "Ip Wen" series was an adult when it came out, elegant, personable, humble, not good at words, and the same as that of Yen Zidan. The personalities complement each other and were successfully shaped. However, Xian Guolin still wanted to take advantage of the heat to bring out the story of Ye Man's predecessor, Yen Zidan, so he once again convened people and launched this "Ip Man Prequel". But compared to the first part of "Ip Man", it is possible to strike while the iron is hot, but you must work hard to reach a level. But in the rush to launch, "Ip Man 2" also won the box office, but it has been scolded bloody, and this "Ip Man" is also the case, and even the box office is no longer good. Xian Guolin has succeeded in promoting his master's intentions, but from a commercial point of view, it is still not easy to use the master's signature to make money.

As for Wing Chun and its ancestors, I have already described it in another article a while ago ("Wing Chun What Eve, Today Is Not As Good as It Used to Be"). That article roughly described the passing of Wing Chun from Ryazan to Chen Huashun, and Ip Man was the land of Chen Huashun. The history of Wing Chun, Ryazan and Ip Man are two high standards. Sandwiched in the middle, Chen Huashun was also a pioneer. The article in "Wing Chun and He Xi, Today Is Not as Good as Before" was originally written in the movie "Mr. Praise and Looking for Money". The film was shot in 1978, and the director was Sammo Hung. In that story, Sammo Hung directed and acted himself, but he was only a supporting role and existed as the brother of Chen Huashun. At the moment, Sammo Hung has also become a leading figure in the Hong Kong film industry. He also participated in "Ip Man's Prequel". This time it is Chen Huashun.

Chen Huashun, nicknamed Qian Hua, is related to the small intestine Chen, Baodufeng, Cheese Wei and other styles still circulating in Beijing today. It is related to the business at the time. This Chen Huashun was working in a big family to help people ask for money. This is for money. Work is called finding money in Foshan, relying on martial arts, Chen Huashun is very good in this industry, so his credibility and reputation are retained. When he couldn't do the work of looking for money, he opened a museum to teach him Wing Chun. Probably because of Chen Huashun’s reputation at the time, he was not keen on giving apprentices. He only gave 16 apprentices. In addition to his son Chen Rumian, there were also Lei Ruji, Chen Xihou, Li Houpei, Huang Luyin, He Hanlu, and Datong. Brothers, brothers Wu Xiaolu, Wu Zhongsu, and disciple Ye Wen, and others. In "Ip Man's Prequel", the Wing Chun Martial Arts Hall opened as soon as the door was opened. Many children, men and women, practice boxing in it. This is actually just fabrication. And Ye Wen joined Chen Huashun at the age of 7. He was nearly 50 years old at the time, and his hands and feet were not as early as before. Moreover, he passed away within a few years. For Ye Wen, the one who taught more by precept and deeds was his senior brother Wu Zhongsu. And this Wu Zhongsu and Chen Huashun belonged to a family. Professor Chen Huashun Wu Zhongsu worked hard naturally, and Wu Zhongsu was also qualified enough to teach his younger brothers and sisters. Like his master Chen Huashun, Wu Zhongsu opened a martial arts museum in Gulutou Street. Most of his followers were the children of wealthy families, such as He Ji Blind Gong Bing Dong-He Zhaochu, the famous doctor Li Shou Peng, and the owner of the "Dayi" Hardware Store- Zhang Shengruo, Li Zhongshengtang Shaodong-Li Cihao, Yingju Teahouse Treasurer-Liang Fuchu. Later, Foshan's famous "Three Heroes of Wing Chun" Ruan Qishan, Yao Cai, and Ip Man were all taught by Wu Zhongsu. In "Ip Man's Prequel", together with Ye Wen, there are two brothers named Xiaoshan and Yao Cai who were beaten by the Japanese with three punches and two kicks. For this reason, Ruan Qishan and Yao Cai's descendants are still such "servants". "Jie" felt indignant and insulting the family. Originally, the "Three Heroes of Wing Chun" were equally inferior. Why are Xiao Shan and Yao so unbearable? Only you, Ye Wen, beat the Japanese out of nowhere. What kind of style is this? . In fact, the story of Japan hitting Japan is not recorded in the history books as it was compiled in the original movie, but of course later generations did that. It also attracted Xian Guolin to invite Ye Zhun to visit Ruan's house to apologize. It was recorded by the news and it was also a joke. .

But at that time, Wing Chun became a master boxing, and only the children of the wealthy family started to practice. This trend was developed by Chen Huashun and Wu Zhongsu. When Ye Wen was in Foshan, he only practiced in his own door, and did not teach apprenticeships. It was only after 1950 that it was not easy to go to Hong Kong to have a meal, and it was only after 1950 that it was officially opened as an apprentice, and it was not surprising that Bruce Lee could become his disciple.

In other words, Ip Man studied under Chen Huashun and accepted Wu Zhongsu's guidance for many years. This is a true rehearsal in the movie. Ye Wen himself was the son of a wealthy man at the time, and the Ye family in Foshan was well known before 1949. According to the tradition of the noble children at that time, the 16-year-old Ye Wen went to Hong Kong to receive foreign language education. In the process, I got acquainted with Liang Bi (the son of Ryazan) and accepted Liang Bi's teachings. This story was also specially edited and performed in the movie, and it was Ye Zhun who played Liang Bi. For this reason, Ye Zhun also won the best newcomer award at an awards ceremony, which is also a small encouragement. As for the film saying that Chen Huashun and Wu Zhong have views on family members, they only consider their own Wing Chun as authentic, and everyone else rejects them, even the son of Ryazan. Moreover, the story is assumed that Liang Bi ran away from home when he was young and vigorous. It is not tolerated by Ryazan. Liang Bi’s Wing Chun has its own adaptation and interpretation. As for who is authentic, there is nothing to say. . Ruan Qishan and Yao Cai, who were named after Ye Man at the time, now have their own disciples. There are also differences between the Wing Chun taught. As for who is authentic, I'm afraid it is not easy to say. As for the compilation of the movie, Liang Bi’s renunciation and ran away, as well as Chen Huashun’s opinion of the family, and no one in the family’s descendants asked about it. Only Ruan Qishan and Yao descendants were angry because of the indispensable "slave street". , It's stingy enough. Just like, Jet Li’s version of "Huo Yuan Jia" was born two years ago, because the story is all new, in which the Huo family was killed, and Huo Yuan Jia had a crazy day and met ethnic women. This pure film writing method aroused strong dissatisfaction among the descendants of the Huo family, who regarded it as an insult to the Huo family. In fact, they were all just laughed off. The attitude of modern Chinese, the two incidents together, can be seen from the Ruan family, the Yao family, and the Huo family.

As for other reporters in the movie, there are not many. This "Ip Man's Prequel" is basically running under the above-mentioned historical framework. It is just a fictitious Japanese who is a brother of Ip Man, Ye Tianci, who was sent to China by Japan as an undercover since he was a child. Later, the Japanese invaded inwardly. This design is so bold in its conception that people really admire it. Originally, a story about how a teenager grew up, Ip Wen, was born with the national sentiment added, and it became a national PK between China and Japan. This design is very impressive. For the dog's blood, not to mention it. The movie's failure was roughly defeated by this setting. Fan Shaohuang’s performance is strictly in accordance with the script of the story, without sprawling, but the inheritance and convergence of the front and the back, the connection between the front and the back, are too moderate, how unreasonable to see it, thanks to the courage of the screenwriter and director. Shoot down. I thought that the thinking level and viewing level of the current audience stayed in the 80s and 90s of the last world. I don't know if I hesitate, I will naturally be struck by others. The audience has moved forward long ago, but the thinking of Hong Kong movies is still stuck 20 years ago. It would be really troublesome to revitalize such movies.

However, this "Ip Man's Prequel" also has an advantage, that is, on the basis of Ip Man's growth, the Wing Chun moves have been practiced. I dare not say that it is a textbook dismantling. Place. But this point, compared with the aforementioned "Mr. Zan and Looking for Qianhua", is still a pediatrics. In the film made in 1978, the little thought of Wing Chun, the three sets of bridge-seeking and indexing boxing, wooden stakes, and the six-and-a-half stick method were all dismantled and dismantled like textbooks. During the exercise, those who are interested can do a textbook to look it up carefully. I think that compared with the people of that time, people now suffer from a lot of hardship, which is quite inferior. Even if I intend to shoot again according to the shooting method at the time, it is estimated that no one can practice so hard.

Well, for something that is almost rubbish, it is enough to say so much. In conclusion, this film has more diverse applications for Wing Chun itself, and the fighting scenes have more pages and even look better. But the success of a movie depends on more than just the scene. The people and thoughts inside can be remembered. Unfortunately, Du Yuhang's appearance is somewhat similar to that of Donnie Yen, but his interpretation of the characters does not leave any impression on others. On the contrary, it was Yuan Biao and Fan Shaohuang who left them. The next impression is even more economical. In a movie, the protagonist is easy to be forgotten, and the supporting role is used to hide from the show. This is a failure in itself.

Although a lot of plots are undetermined, it is still worth seeing. After all, Ye Wen is a great master I like and respect, just like many predecessors of Tai Chi.
