Not reincarnation but reverse order

Horror films have only seen "The Shining", "1408" and "Dead Silence", so it is considered a horror film Xiaobai. The reason why I watched this film was purely amazed by the trailer. When I watched the trailer for the first time, the author said that I was taken aback by surprise. It feels that the film creates a weird atmosphere where every nerve is tense (the sudden shock is just right). So watched this "Southbound" with anticipation.
In general, the whole film is interesting without a trailer, and the degree of scary is not high. The film tells of several supernatural events that occurred on a desert highway. Many people think that the end of the film reveals that this is an endless loop. I am afraid that I cannot agree with this view. I think this is a flashback narrative method. In fact, the beginning of the film explains the ending of the story, that is, two One murderer was killed by a monster, and the other was permanently trapped in the gas station hotel. Coincidentally, the story started from this hotel, so a few days before the timeline returned to the same place, three girls set off from this gas station on the highway of death, which led to a series of events that followed. At the end of the story, two murderers drove to the gas station in order to avoid the monsters, and were eventually swallowed by this land.
Although not scary enough, I think it can be given to Samsung and a half, because the idea of the film is very good. First of all, compared to the old-fashioned setting such as Vengeance (Vengeance is actually not scary), this cult-like horror theme can make people shine, and many sections in the film are very cleverly designed, such as The monsters in the twisted space that make people escape back to the original point no matter how they escape, the yin and yang eye tattoos that move, the weird hospital with dim lights, the demon 911 hotline, etc., are very interesting. Secondly, the audience may feel that the film is not scary enough, but the despair and helplessness felt by the characters in the story is what the audience can feel, which reminds me of "1408". However, compared with the clear setting of the devil occupying the room in "1408", this film is very messy, and the audience can't find the source of all the horror incidents in the end, and there seems to be no clear connection between the stories. . This is where many people criticize this film. However, the author thinks that in this way, the effect of terror is somewhat improved. The horror comes from the unknown, it is because they don't know if life is happening here, that makes the audience feel a trace of fear from beginning to end. "Dead Silence" is a kind of movie that is very scary in the first half, and can make people laugh in the second half, because the first half of the puppets brings people the mysterious sense of fear, and the second half directly explains the female ghost. Revenge is a dog-blood setting that is shocking, and immediately loses interest. Because fear comes from the unknown. In creating the unpredictable fear of the unknown, the author believes that this film has made a positive and surprising attempt.
Different people have different expectations for horror films. Perhaps the author's taste is not in line with the mainstream, but it must be admitted that the author still appreciates this film.

The retro multi-stage horror story is perfectly connected with details. The theme of redemption is a bit too tall, and the shape of the ghoul is very gorgeous.

Very interesting anthology, it is actually a three-part story, one of which is split into two parts, and each story is connected end to end, forming a never-ending environment: a never-ending doomsday trial of hell . PS. The twins inside look like they love craftsmanship...
