Fighter, but not leader

The street again saw a person wearing a shirt with Che Guevara's head printed on it, so suddenly the idea of looking at Che again appeared. Of course, the main purpose is to figure out why Che Guevara (hereinafter referred to as Che) has become the darling of the Eastern world and the idol in the eyes of passionate young people today with countless heroes.
"Che Guevara, born in Argentina on June 14, 1928, is an Argentine Marxist revolutionary, physician, writer, guerrilla captain, military theorist, international politician, and a central figure in the Cuban revolution." Personality analysis is only eight words, unruly and rebellious, revolution to the end! Such a character is destined to become a hero, but not necessarily a great man. Some people compare him to Mao Zedong in the Latin American world. In fact, he is far from Chairman Mao's achievements. He has tactical literacy, but he has to admit that he has no strategic vision!
The reasons for the lack of strategic insight are as follows:
1. It only focuses on the revolutionary war and land reform. There is no clear position for the post-war national system and what kind of party to establish. This is also reflected in the film, that Che first participated in the revolution as a member of the "July 26 Movement", not the Cuban Communist Party. It was only after he cooperated with the Cuban Communist Party that he gradually understood Stalinism, that is, socialism. Therefore, Cuba’s choice of socialism was not established based on national conditions, but its hostile relationship with American capitalism, which led to its joining the socialist camp.
2. In the early days of the implementation of the land reform, the landlord class land was expropriated and handed over to individual farmers. At the same time, foreign groups were prohibited from occupying Cuban land resources. This mobilized the enthusiasm of farmers, got rid of the feudal system, and greatly increased agricultural output in a short period of time. However, Che Guevara, who had just tasted the sweetness of land reforms, went into industrialization while land reforms were not yet perfect. A large number of equipment was purchased in the Soviet Union, occupying a large area of sugarcane fields for steelmaking and oil extraction. As a result, Cuban agriculture encountered the biggest bottleneck period after the land reform in 1962 (of course there are also natural disasters). It directly led to the promulgation of the second land reform law by the Cuban government in 1963, which converted all the land of the rural bourgeoisie into state-owned property. It seems that exploitation is completely eliminated, but the essence is to alleviate the agricultural losses caused by industrialization.
3. The time when Che Guevara left Cuba, 1965. This is also the second stage of the influx of Cuban refugees to the United States. This trend forced Castro to unilaterally announced in September 1965 that Cubans would be allowed to leave the port of Camarillo to the United States. This just reflects from one aspect that there are still many problems left over from Cuba’s reforms at this time, but the people who have been free have not been able to have a satisfying life. At this time, Che left Cuba and fought in the Congo, continuing his "jihad". This can't help but make me wonder, the purpose of his revolution is only for independence?
Looking back at his evaluation, a Marxist revolutionist personally thinks that there is a deviation and should be a humanitarian revolutionist. He is not a practitioner of Marxism, but a saint fighting for freedom and democracy. He died on the battlefield, calling the curtain as a hero, not a leader.
The above are only personal opinions, please do not spray the powder.
Finally, let’s talk about the actor: Benicio del Toro, a good actor who is underestimated by Hollywood and even the world. Most people’s impression of him is only that he looks exactly like Brad Pitt, but his acting skills are better than Pitt. More sophisticated and restrained. I hope that in the near future, I can get a Little Golden Man, which will be known to more people!

Soderbergh works steadily, and the various fancy tricks that he usually likes to use can only return to the basics in front of Guevara. Benicio's performance has also been recognized as wonderful, but there are still shortcomings in the film. "I have only one request, after the liberation of Cuba, you will help me burn the flames of revolution across America"
