As the prequel film of the game "Final Fantasy 15", the audience of this film is basically the senior gamers of the series. As an "outsider", I was fortunate enough to be invited to watch this film today. Here, I hope to give this movie a non-sentimental evaluation from the perspective of a non-gaming party, and also give some references to more "outsiders" who want to watch it.
As a non-gaming party, I usually don't try this kind of movies lightly because I am worried that I will be confused when I watch it (after all, I have too little contact). For this, you don’t have to worry about watching this "Sword of Kings". The plot is independent and easy to understand. It is the war between two countries on the magic continent for a ring. You only need to distinguish between the two camps. That's it. (Due to historical reasons and conflicts of interest between the two countries)
Now that you can watch the film smoothly, of course, I have to talk about the highlights of this film:
Ⅰ. The picture quality is beyond imagination. The shooting team used advanced motion performance capture and facial capture technology to simultaneously carry out, coupled with dynamic digital technology to make the expressions of the characters look beautiful and natural (to be honest, there are many scenes that are simply difficult to distinguish between true and false, and several times considered it to be real shooting)
Ⅱ. The plot is exciting. Although the plot is slightly old-fashioned, the combination of fighting scenes and background music can still mobilize the enthusiasm of the viewers. The whole story is told compactly and coherently, and the plot is not procrastinated (don’t have too harsh requirements on the content of the plot, just simply incorporate the sense of mission)
Ⅲ. The design is ingenious and ingenious. According to the senior game party, the Knicks and Luna were at the dinner until the turmoil of the Nifheim Empire. In the previous game promos, the Knicks have always been the prince, which means that the male protagonist of this film is an original. . The screenwriter intends to interpret this film from the perspective of a small person, expressing the feelings of the Lucis warrior from the struggle of the small person to the sacrifice, and using the small person in the sword of the king to embody the theme of guarding the hometown and the motherland. (The appearance of the prince at the end of the movie also kicked off the game)
Ⅳ. The epic soundtrack is shocking. The music production of this film is the key to my fanfare. The appeal of the soundtrack has made the level of the work a qualitative leap. When watching a movie, he will involuntarily blend into it, and with impassioned lines, the sense of mission to protect the country runs through the whole body.
In general, this film still has a certain sense of surprise for a non-game party, and it can be seen as a royal war film for the time being. As for my evaluation of this film, the reason may be that I didn’t expect much of this film at first, and even planned to "private score". I didn’t expect the sound effects and hometown feelings to be there. So touching.
Therefore, whether it is a senior game party or a non-game party, do not have too high expectations for this movie before watching it. Perhaps when you watch the movie, you will feel that it is still a movie worth watching or even recommending, at least not. It's a bad movie.
