It's the favorite of John Ford's movies I've seen, warm but sentimental. The Xianghe family was driven forward by the great era and will never be resistant to this subject matter. Both father and mother are traditional and typical parents. Although stern and old-fashioned, they both love this family very much and are very brave and responsible. It is embarrassing that the love between the daughter and the priest has not been cultivated, and the death of the father and son has cast a shadow on the family. The green hills and green valleys are buried by the factory chimneys, and the songs in the memories can only circulate in the memories. Who doesn't want to miss childhood, it is a pity that good things will eventually disappear.
