I have to complain about this terrible subtitle... I don't know if it is the same as Warner's own US version. Not to mention the capital letters, it is often a second or two behind the video...

Some slippage excerpts that I am interested in are basically unscrupulous gossip and exaggerated remarks (x). I refer to Internet materials where I don’t understand

1. The political change in the novel ////////// takes place on Saturday, the same day as the race day. JF hopes to draw the fuse of the "nuclear agreement" from the president's daily office, but in this case, the time of the story will shift one day later, and the setting of "horse racing day" is problematic. JF didn’t think of this problem until he finished filming the scene on Monday. Later, a screenwriter gave him an idea: In the movie, give him a close-up of the horse racing poster with the words "First Ever Sunday Running of the Preakness".

2. Strictly speaking, this is a sci-fi work, because the story takes place in the "near future". The electronic screens in the wall, a large number of video phones, electronic watches, etc. are all intended to create a sense of the future (but I think the overall effect is average...maybe black and white will weaken the expressiveness, the same thing is tall in 007 Many ==). The more difficult thing to deal with is the vehicle. The crew specially built a lot of European cars, so that American audiences have a "stranger" and feel that it is also a future thing (the crew is well-intentioned!)

Ps. This car belongs to JF himself

3. The actors rehearsed for two months before the official filming, but the actual filming took only 51 days. [During the entire review process, I felt that the rehearsal was important]

4. The AG secondary line is alluding to MacArthur and Truman. The history of Xiaobai should not be mixed up. Many people who write this on IMDb are interested in searching for it by themselves = =

5. The filming of the film received strong support from Kennedy, and the crew was able to enter the White House to take a large number of photos for setting reference. The two floors that KD walked when meeting the president for the first time were actually shot in the same venue, but the interior decoration was changed.

6. JF has that———————— Do you like his cast. After exaggerating for a long time, the main actors didn't say anything, and finally sighed "I am so lucky to be with so many big guys." "Anyone who wants to study performance should directly watch the performances of these three (BL, KD, FM)". This is why JF will arrange everyone in the scene frame and always use long shots in indoor plays: there is no need to use broken shots for this cast, and it can also perform far, medium and close shots in one shot (in short, as long as it is He will boast in multiplayer indoor scenes)

7. Be sure to bring out the FM quotations from JF: The actor I admire most, a giant, you know he'll be great in every scene. When he is performing, everyone will watch "OMG" and I will shoot again. It’s a long shot, because it’s FM acting ["The Iceman is Coming" DVD, but you can listen to him for 4 hours when it comes out early! (Fans wailing)]

8. "You look AG and she was so beautiful", I smiled suddenly when the sentence came out

Ps. said that he hated the line "A very good steak, medium rare, and the truth, which is very rare.", but did not say the reason

9. Edmond O'Brien, who plays the senator, first made his fortune on Broadway and was considered "the next Alfred Lunt" at the time. When referring to the alcohol scene where he was locked up in a secret base, JF admitted that he hated the scene where the character talks to himself, but he handled it quite well.

10. The gossip behind the painting: It is said that this painting was actually here when JF divorced his first wife. At that time, he didn't want anything but this painting. Later, the painting has been hung in JF's office. When shooting, JF felt that the original painting was too ugly, so he replaced it with his own hhhhh

The picture on KD's head

11. The TV screens in the videophone drama are all live broadcasts [sighing the importance of rehearsal x2]

"Pick the watch"

12. Tucao: Everyone doesn't smoke much now, this setting is completely abolished

13. Strongly criticize the "screening room & opinion card" model of major studios! Fortunately, this film did not have a trial screening, otherwise the drama in AG’s house and the final BL&FM rival drama will definitely be said to be "lengthy" and then forced to be deleted. [In short, your teenage audience can’t do it]

14. BL&FM's opponent scenes are full of complicated long lines, but the whole shooting process was unexpectedly smooth. Before the official filming, BL and FM will take time every weekend to rehearse the scene solo for three weeks. In the end, the whole scene was filmed in only two days [sentiment of the importance of rehearsal x3]. JF praised this scene as "the favorite of my career", and felt that if I shoot myself now, I have to reserve at least four days (because there is no such good actor anymore (yes started to praise again))

15. Originally, there was a scene where BL died in a car accident at the end. JF felt it was unnecessary to delete (so the rounding is also BE!)

16. The whole film expresses the fear of the Cold War, and the criticism of McCarthyism (the line that compares Scott to McCarthy is deliberately written). People at that time never thought that the Cold War would really end one day, so the FM speech at the end brought great comfort and encouragement to the audience. JF has also repeatedly expressed that it is impossible to have such a film now, because 40 years later, people will no longer think that they have an upright and reliable president as they did at the time (some people in the short comment area said that "this film could be It is on the same level with "Dr. Strange Love", but now it's not at the same level at all" (but I'm just like "Dr. Strange Love" ==))

Ps. I thought I would harvest a lot of BL&KD melons, but I didn’t have XD. It’s better than a short comment I read during the day.

Seven Days in May quotes

  • [last lines]

President Jordan Lyman: [to reporters at a televised press conference] There's been abroad in this land in recent months a whisper that we have somehow lost our greatness, that we do not have the strength to win without war the struggles for liberty throughout the world. This is slander, because our country is strong, strong enough to be a peacemaker. It is proud, proud enough to be patient. The whisperers and the detractors, the violent men are wrong. We will remain strong and proud, peaceful and patient, and we will see a day when on this earth all men will walk out of the long tunnels of tyranny into the bright sunshine of freedom.

[president exits; reporters stand and applaud]

Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, that was the President of the United States.

  • Christopher Todd: This stuff you unearthed, Colonel Casey, is dynamite. Very revealing of General Scott's extracurricular love life. Any taste of victory we have in our mouths, Colonel, is due in no small measure to your efforts.

Colonel Martin "Jiggs" Casey: The taste I've got in my mouth, Mr. Secretary, is unmentionable.

Christopher Todd: I can understand that feeling, Colonel. But when you deal with a jackal like your general...

Colonel Martin "Jiggs" Casey: Mr. Todd, this is a full Air Force general. Six times wounded, wearing only half the medals he deserves. Whatever else he is, he's no jackal.

Christopher Todd: My god, the sensitivity of our warriors! Did I step on your old school tie, Colonel?

Colonel Martin "Jiggs" Casey: You're just like a lot of civilians, Mr. Todd. After every armistice, you want to put us away in mothballs, like the fleet. When it comes to a little dying...

    Christopher Todd: Hold up, Colonel!

Colonel Martin "Jiggs" Casey: ...you'll be sure to put us in a uniform...

    Christopher Todd: That's enough, Colonel!
