Indelible scars

I watched a movie called The Quiet a few days ago. The investment in the production of the movie was not large, and the picture seemed relatively simple. But the plot of the story wins, and after reading it, people have a feeling of breathing difficulties.
The story tells the story of the cheerleader Nina's parents who adopted an orphan Dawter, who was about the same age as her. Dawdt has been irritated and deaf and dumb since seeing her mother die. Doug became more gloomy after his father died in a car accident. Her arrival shattered this seemingly happy and beautiful family.
In this seemingly harmonious family, the mother takes drugs and the father and daughter incest. Probably because of Daute’s talent for “silence”, Nina’s parents and friends are willing to "listen" to Daute the secrets they dare not tell others, because the burden and pressure of being able to speak secrets will be reduced by half. Even Kuna, the most popular boy in the school, asked Dot to talk to him, and even masturbated in front of Dot. As for Daut, as always, quietly sharing the pain and secrets of others.
Daot is quiet, as quiet as she herself described, hidden in the crowd forever. Daot's silence is like a deadly weapon, waiting for the day of the outbreak. Dot likes to play the piano. The whole film is enveloped in Beethoven’s music. Dot comes out to Nina’s house. The background music is Beethoven’s early works. When Dot learns the secrets of the family, she silently protects it. Nina, the background music is Beethoven's mid-term work, with a touch of heroism. The climax was when his father raped Nina and Daut strangled his father with piano strings. The background music was Beethoven's work in his later years, full of fatalism.
Nina never lost the ability to hear, she just habitually disguised herself as a wooden person. Because only then can you avoid hurting yourself.
This story is not the same as the content described in the Hollywood youth film, but it is the most true portrayal of society. Although the high school campus life described is abnormal and anti-trend, it does not mean that it is fictitious. In fact, it is just hidden The problems under the surface of high school life are just magnified.
The characters in the play are very full.
Daot, a young girl pretending to be a deaf and mute, unshaven and seemingly stupid. She listened carefully to everyone's stories, and her silence comforted everyone. And every night, she would cry silently, for her father who had just passed away, and for her ostracized life. She looks strong, but her heart is soft. When she discovered that Nina was having an incest with her father, she was terrified and hid in the room secretly crying. When she saw Nina's father rape Nina, she silently hugged Nina, who was crying on the bed, and comforted Nina with silence. When she learned that Nina was going to kill her father, she organized it in time. But when she saw Nina's father beating and raping Nina violently, Doug couldn't bear it. She was playing Beethoven's tune, and tears slowly flowed across her face. The music stopped abruptly, and Dawte killed his father resolutely.
Nina, the glamorous cheerleader, is very much loved in school. She hated Dot at first and made fun of Dot. By chance, she heard Dot playing the piano. Slowly, she was attracted by the silent girl. The colorful part of her friendship with Dot should be that they went to the prom together. She helped Dot put on bright lipstick and told Dot that girls should be colorful. Below that seemingly indifferent friendship are their two lonely hearts. Nina has always been sexually assaulted by her father. She hates it, but she can't change her life. She hated her father and tried to get rid of him, but in exchange for violence again and again. She is like a drowning child, struggling to find a life-saving straw.
Mother, an architect who used drugs to numb herself. She is immersed in her work every day, not because of love, but to avoid the secrets of the family. She knew that her daughter and her husband had incest from the beginning, and she tried to satisfy her husband with her body, but they all failed. She was afraid of her husband's iron fist, so she could only choose to use drugs to numb herself. Until the end, she did what a mother should do, to do a specific sin. She loves her daughter deeply, but she doesn't know how to protect her, she has been living in self-blame and fear all the time.
Father, father is the most crucial character in this play. He destroyed this home with one hand, and also destroyed his own life. He knew that incest was forbidden, and he had hoped to end this sordid thing, but he was finally controlled by his own desires. He is abnormal and pathetic. He hopes to have absolute control, but everything is not under his control. Death is his best ending. He died, with love for his daughter and hatred for her.
At the end of the story, the two girls walked into the distance holding hands. I don't know if they will be happy, only know that they will never forget this matter. Because the injury casts an indelible scar.
