Two extremes, one genius

I saw Ralph for the first time in Schindler's list. That ruthless officer. Wearing a straight military uniform, the black and white images set off the angular face even more fortitude. It seemed that the disappearance of those lives were clouds in his eyes. However, in a scene in the cellar, emotion was seen in the eyes of the Murderer.
He is really a genius. Amon's sense of superiority from his bones overwhelmed others. But when it came to the witty question and answer, Sunshine Lover, he became so humble, so elegant, full of sincerity from his eyes. That shy smile makes you unable to resist any request of this man. Even if you face an unmarried woman and say arrogant words like "You might start thinking about falling in love with me", your face still steals like a child. Laugh, as if this world is always so beautiful and peaceful.
As a movie audience, I am unqualified, because I have been taken out of the plot by Ralph's smile throughout the movie, and I have been staring at this gentle-looking man.

Ralph Fiennes really can't think that Adam is also played by him; one person plays three completely different people, which is amazing. But no matter how he changed, his eyes were still the melancholy and blurred in "The English Patient".

Ralph is really suitable for ancient costumes, worthy of being the British Chen Daoming.

Sunshine quotes

  • Valerie: [talking to Ivan Sors] I left your grandfather once. I fell in love with another man. Your grandfather and I hadn't been getting along. He wasn't the sort of person I hoped he'd be. The other man was passionate, a wonderful lover. That is important, darling. He gave me an old medallion engraved with: "I love you."

Valerie: When your grandfather get in trouble with the Communists, I came back. You must try to find joy in your life.

  • Emmanuel Sonnenschein: [groans] There's too much salt in this soup.

Valerie: Then the cook must be in love.

Gustave: You must have made the soup then.

Valerie: What do you mean by that, Gustave?

Gustave: You and Ignatz kissing in the museum garden yesterday, and Tuesday

Ignatz Sonnenschein: Have you gone mad?

    Rose Sonnenschein: [Crying]

Emmanuel Sonnenschein: Please don't cry, Rose. I beg you

    [talking to Ignatz]

Emmanuel Sonnenschein: Come with me, now.
