I saw it when I was a kid, now I see it again.

The classic translated film, the
voice actor’s incomparable tone, the
translated words and sentences are also very memorable

(still I have a problem with understanding):

the agent of the cheating male p (Patrick) and the female star a (Alina Marshall) m (Ma La Gardner) when he saw a lying on the beach in a small boat (actually, after solving the case, he realized that it was p’s wife c Christine lying there), and

p said to m: Look, who is that?
m answer: Would you not know Christine? ! Naughty
p: Can you go back by yourself? I want to walk back with Alina
. . . .

The translator knew who the person lying there was. . .
The dubbing also got confused. .

What m should say is: Would you not know Alina? ! Oh my goodness

I can never guess who the murderer is when I read the original. . . Love Agatha Christie. . . Love these adaptations of old classics. . . It is no longer possible to make such a film. . .

Still a similar pattern. On an isolated island, female stars are killed, and everyone has a motive to kill, but the truth is a well-planned murder, which happened to be solved because of Poirot's presence. The key turning point is this line: Alright, I wish you to consider very carefully, a bathing cap, a bath...a bottle, a wrist watch, the diamond, the noonday gun, the breath of the sea and the height of the cliff. From that you should be able to solve it yourselves. There is no perfect murder case, no matter how flawless it seems, there will always be holes.

Evil Under the Sun quotes

  • Poirot: The "Arlena Stewarts" of this world do not count; their domination is of the moment. Really to count, a woman must have either goodness or brains.

Christine Redfern: You can't actually believe that men care for either of those things, can you?

Poirot: Oh yes I do, madam.

  • Rex Brewster: [a little too solicitously, about Linda's step-mother, Arlena] And how is your lovely mother, this morning?

Linda Marshall: She's not lovely and she's not my mother!
