Little bugs and some of my little problems.

I don’t know how to climb at all, the following is just my brain thinking:
small bug: after going up the mountain and pulling the rope off the cross-cutting route, it stands to reason that the piton close to them should also be taken down and taken away, because it looks like their piton And quick buckles are limited and must be used repeatedly as much as possible. When going down the mountain, Andy touched the rock nail and cried out: "Cross the route", the rock nail was not removed. This looks like a small bug. It may also be : 1. In order to mark the route or use it when retreating or for whatever reason, according to a certain section of the mountaineering specification, the pitons that cross the two ends of the route must be kept on the rock. 2. In order to make it easier for the audience to understand "they are here to pull the rope "
Small question: If a person retreats and descends from a high place, there is only one 60-meter thick rope that must be used repeatedly. How many meters can he descend in one cycle? 30 meters is easy to understand. Fold the thick rope in half, descend to a 30-meter platform, draw the rope, (similar to a "cross-cutting route"), and continue the cycle. The question is: Is it possible to descend 60 meters at a time? Is there any way to drop 60 meters at a time with the "original equipment" of 1936? Or what equipment can drop 60 meters at a time?
Understand, thank you!

Climbing is really fun for people who want to die...

The two Austrian climbers are actually their teammates. I feel that such a background setting reflects the overcorrected attitude of the Germans to original sin after the war. Everything must be criticized by the Nazis. It was originally just a tragic story of the deaths of four German and Austrian mountaineering enthusiasts in a team climbing the north face of the Eiger. Anyway, regardless of history or video, Toni's tenacity is truly admirable.

  • [first lines]

    [in German, quoting English subtitles]

Luise Fellner: [voiceover] When you're at the bottom - Toni once told me - at the foot of the wall, and you look up, you ask yourself: How can anyone climb that? Why would anyone even want to? But hours later when you're at the top looking down, you've forgotten everything. Except the one person you promised you would come back to.

  • [last lines]

    [in German, quoting English subtitles]

Luise Fellner: [voiceover] All I know is that death spared me, and that Toni went away forever that day. One has lived if one has loved. There are times when I find this infinitely hard to believe. Most days I feel that I am alive. And that love is the reason for that.
