Some weird exchange concepts and logical confusion:

1 Who does the copyright belong to? Creator or big company?
2 Who is infringing? The person who provides the server or the uploader?
3 Does the "server" own the copyright?
4 Where does the income come from? Consumers or advertisers?
5 Is there a similar mechanism for sharing and monopoly? Who is paid by the user or advertiser? The person providing the server or the uploader/creator?
6 Questioning the chair of defense witnesses, questioning The Pirate Bay's right-wing funding, questioning whether lawyers and judges are members of copyright protection organizations... How come these taints are gone?

7 Why do I always have a sense of inexplicable and complicity?

In the final analysis, it is still a matter of interests. Those with copyrights want to make as much money as possible, while netizens don’t want to pay and just want what they need, which is internet freedom.

TPB AFK: The Pirate Bay Away from Keyboard quotes

  • One of the lawyers: How did you meet Fredrik and Gottfrid?

Peter Sunde: I don't remember, but I assume it was in a chat room on the internet.

One of the lawyers: When was the first time you met IRL?

Peter Sunde: We don't use the expression IRL. We say AFK. But that's another issue. But, I don't remember that either.

Tomas Norström - District Court Judge: Got to know each other IRL? What is that?

One of the lawyers: In Real Life.

Peter Sunde: We don't like that expression. We say AFK - Away From Keyboard. We think that the internet is for real.

  • Monique Wadstead - Hollywood's Lawyer: The pirate movement's idea to fight for free file sharing just isn't accepted anymore. It was just a little fad. I never thought it would survive.
