Speaking of summer beaches, what do you think of? It's nothing more than a living body, waves on the seashore, and restless youth. Adolescent young people always have all kinds of confusion, whether it is about feelings or about life.

I don't know whether I like girls or not. I don't know whether he is attacked or affected by attributes. The confused Frank wanders between his girlfriend and uncle, searching for his true self on the gay website, just like the waves on the beach, the tide is surging, and he doesn't know the future.

Unlike other gay movies, although the protagonist of "Beach Mouse" is a teenager in the deep cabinet, the focus of the film is not the struggle and depression of the teenager in the deep cabinet, let alone the common discrimination against gay groups in same-sex movies.

In the film, the same-sex sexual orientation is just a remedy in decadent youth. From coming out to the deep cabinet, Frank switched freely, from leaving his little girlfriend in the middle of making love, to having a relationship with an old man, for Frank, it was the daily routine of fooling around in the summer.

The biggest highlight of the film is Frank's experience of coming out. When the four people chatted, he told his friends about his experience of going on gay websites and having sex with men, but he fabricated a lie: just to get marijuana.

However, the companions believed this absurd and unruly reason, and even planned to pretend to be gays to swindle marijuana, help Frank set up a date, and cooperate to steal marijuana. After all, sexual orientation is not a big deal in their decadent life.

Frank said that his life was "boring to the point", and his coming out was just telling his friends to "pretend to be gay." However, his girlfriend chose to leave him. His mother was so disappointed in him. After getting the marijuana through his friends, Frank seemed quite lost.

He is afraid of being abandoned by his peers, but also afraid of being submerged in his peers, eager to be recognized, and afraid of being isolated, he can only be a deep cabinet between advance and retreat.

The focus of the film is the confusion of adolescence in the deep cabinet. Just as Frank said in a video with people on the gay website: "I don't know what I like." I don't know what I like. I have a girlfriend but will sleep with the same sex and try all kinds of novelties. Something, empty inside and decadent on the outside, I don’t know what eve will be.

At the end of the film, the summer fireworks bloom brilliantly, but after the fireworks are exhausted, Frank is infinitely lonely. Frank, who has nothing to do, spends the summer with nothing, and the years of youth quietly pass.

Director Eliza Hitman used a lot of dark lens language to create a juvenile adolescence, close-up shots of various faces and hands, adolescent boys' freckles, eyelashes, and tender muscles. The story appears delicate and the language of the lens. It looks poetic and sad.

The coarse grain and zooming technique highlight the character's heart. Under the rendering of light, shadow and soundtrack, the film is permeated with the flow of eroticism, and the desires of adolescence rippling out. The melancholy and confusion deep in the male protagonist's heart, like a stream, touches the hearts of the audience.

The hormonal youthful body on the beach is like a rat in the day and haunting the night. Although the blue sea and blue sky and the vitality of the flesh are on the screen, their figures are full of loneliness and loneliness.

Everyone has experienced the confusion and helplessness of adolescence, and always hopes to alleviate their anxiety by trying new things.

But it turns out that doing nothing may be the source of these pains.
