Two puzzled

The plot is great except for two questions. 1. What does Kirby like about Carrie? 2. Has Kirby grown up? Before Carrie finished talking, Kirby seemed to be a god, calm and confident. His annoying movements after Carrie left may be the most obvious scene of his emotional fluctuations in the entire movie. Of course you can see that the film admires his natural way of life, but criticizes his treatment of others. For example, he always allows others to decide his own life, but he doesn't know that sometimes women don't want to make their own decisions. But he didn't take any action on this. Perhaps the director just felt that this was a side effect of Kirby's obedience to his heart, and there was no need to criticize it. In the end, Kirby was injured. When Carrie came to his home to take care of him, he met K's female friend, but Carrie talked about Kirby as he did when he was a guest at her home for the first time, completely repeating or even emphasizing the views at that time. And this is in conflict with Kirby, what happened in the plot. So, I am very puzzled

4.5. The most passionate color of classical Hollywood! "The studio loved the title, they thought it meant you could have everything you wanted. I meant it exactly the other way round. As far as I'm concerned, heaven is stingy."

"Far From Heaven" draws on the core of this one. It has the verve and routines of "The Heaven and Earth Can't Be Loved", plus some maternal melodrama content that "Spring Breeze and Autumn Rain" focuses on a few years later. The color, soundtrack, and shots are impeccable. For those comrades who haven't been involved in Circe and melodrama, it's a classic line: It will be a magnificent obsession.

Cary Scott: Well then why do I have these headaches? It's not my imagination, and they're getting worse all the time.

    Dr. Hennessy: You're punishing yourself.

    Cary Scott: For what?

Dr. Hennessy: For running away from life. The headaches are nature's way of making a protest.

Cary Scott: Well, will you give me something for them?

Dr. Hennessy: Do you expect me to give you a prescription to cure life?
