Is Hallam still a child? I think he is already a mature romantic.
One of the biggest characteristics of romanticism that I talked about in the English and American literature class today: Overflow Emotions. The lipstick (maybe it was) and the old clothes left by his mother could immediately arm Hallam when he was abusive, and become a knight who vented his feelings. When the misunderstanding of the stepmother deepened into hatred, he directly broke into the stepmother's bedroom, tied her up and threw her into the lake. He has absolutely legitimate illogical reasons: he loves his mother, and even sees a woman similar to her can't help himself.
There were times when the romantic seemed to get everything: a decent job, a girlfriend who was exactly like his beloved one, and his voyeuristic habit was understood. However, as the truth about the death of his mother became clear, when the two crushed awake from their dreams, they had the much ado about nothing of classicism, and everything returned to peace.
The soundtrack is great!
