The above synopsis is actually the content of the second episode, which is wrong. The plot of the first episode is as follows: Katie, the niece of the female reporter Keller (Naomi Watts), suddenly died mysteriously. While attending the niece’s funeral, Keller’s sister felt that her daughter died strangely and asked her to take advantage of the reporter’s relationship and Means to find out the real cause of Katie's death. Just after the funeral, Keller heard about a mysterious videotape from Katie's friend. It is said that everyone who has seen the content of this videotape will die bizarrely after seven days.
Keller, who did not believe in evil, launched an investigation. She found that the three friends of the niece died on the same day, and the exact time of death was at 10 o’clock in the evening. On the day before the death, the four of them went out to play together. Overnight in a hut in the woods, Keller found the house and found the legendary video tape in the house.
Is the death of the four children mysteriously connected to the video? Is the rumor true? In order to track down, Keller put the tape into the video recorder... The video tape recorded some inexplicable intermittent scenes. After watching the tape, Keller received a mysterious call, and the phone came only vague and gloomy. The two words: "Seven days..." The
rumors are true! Keller, who felt uncomfortable, began to feel the atmosphere of horror surrounding her. She had seven days to unravel the mystery of the video tape, otherwise she would suffer the same fate as her niece—death. In desperation, Keller asked her ex boyfriend Noah (Martin Henderson) for help, Noah is an expert in photography and video technology. After studying the video tape several times, the two people found a small clue that led them to a remote island named Moesko, where the spiteful weird elf hidden in the videotape Coming soon...
The horror atmosphere of this film is not as good as the Japanese version, but the suspense effect is better. The links are interlocking, attracting the audience to want to find out. I also think it would be great if there was a perfect ending: the little girl’s grievances were influenced by Keller and would not continue to harm others.

The movie didn’t scare me, mainly because I saw the phone suddenly rang at a critical moment (at first I thought it was a movie sound effect)... and it was a landline that didn’t ring once in 800 years, so I didn’t dare to answer it...
