To be or Not to be

I saw this movie when I was young, but it was too young to appreciate the pungent humor.
This film is remake of the same name in 1942, but unfortunately I haven't seen the original version. But this remake of the film is still very wonderful: the lines are humorous, the actors perform just right, and the plot is compact and interesting.
As a comedy, this drama has plenty of jokes, and the places that should be laughed are definitely hilarious, especially the famous line "To be or Not to be". The film gives this line a coded humor. Meaning, so that when Bronsky read this line on the stage at the end of the movie, the audience naturally had an expectation.
There are many repetitions of scenes in the movie, and this repetition produces a hilarious sense of comedy. For example, the "To be or Not to be" that appeared three times, for example, when Bronsky met with the Gestapo, he almost copied what Professor Saransky said when he pretended to be the Gestapo and met with Professor Saransky. There are also some small details, such as lifting the fake beard twice and the Gestapo chief squashing each other’s hat twice...
In addition to the specially arranged comedy effect, this movie is also extremely ironic and can be described as full of spicy flavor: the beginning of the movie One of the theater posters on display is "Derailment" and the other is "Naughty Nazi Party". "Naughty Nazi Party" is even more capable of laughing and cursing. Hitler, played by Bronsky, said "Hurrah, myself!" as soon as he appeared, and when Hitler repeatedly expressed his love for peace, he already made people laugh from ear to ear.
The scene in which Andrei shot Saronsky was really amazing. When a crowd searched for Saronsky in the theater, Saronsky climbed onto the stage in a panic and got into the heavy curtain. Drei followed closely and got into the curtain. Two gunshots sounded and the curtain slowly opened. The two were set in the middle of the stage as if they were performing a play. The audience's eyes were completely focused on the stage, and a heart was lifted. It's on the throat. It is said that this play copied the original version of 1942, which made me very impulsive to look for Liu Bieqian's play.
This movie looks very relaxed, but it doesn't feel frivolous. On the contrary, the movie is quite heavy. The director used a large number of black and white clips to explain the scene after the Nazi army bombed Warsaw: everywhere was ruined and ruined. The city built in three hundred years was destroyed in only three weeks. Jews were forced to sew discriminatory pentagrams on their clothes, while homosexuals were sewn with pink triangles. Ironically, Anne’s makeup artist used this logo to identify other gays and was busy dating all night. This discriminatory move by the Nazis provided people with unexpected convenience.
At the climax of the film, a Jewish actor in the theater created a small conflict outside the theater box. When Bronsky dressed as a Nazi walked up to him to "interrogate" him, he quoted the Jewish businessman Xia in "The Merchant of Venice". Locke's lines made the listener sad. The clown performance is the essence. When the Jewish grandma and grandfather who were clowning and preparing to flee saw the Nazi officers seated in the audience, they looked horrified and did not even dare to leave. Just when the audience was worried about the actors, one of the clown They walked over and put a pentagram on each of them, and then took out a toy pistol with a Nazi flag on the front to "escort" them out of the theater. The Nazi officers were all laughing. I wonder what you think of those watching the movie in the audience. I felt sad for a while. When the people who succeeded in fleeing rushed into the sky in a plane, one could not help but think of the fate of those Jews who stayed in Warsaw...
However, this is a comedy, which should be laughed at. At the end of the movie, the burden is fierce: repeated on the plane. Dialogue, the joyful atmosphere in the British country pub, and when Bronsky walked into the British country pub dressed as Hitler, and finally appeared "To be or Not to be", these lovely baggage once again raised the atmosphere of the movie, let The man laughed. Yes, how can you not laugh while you are alive? Because in 1942, Liu Bieqian believed that victory would ultimately belong to the Allies, and we believed that victory ultimately belonged to the side of justice.

Even with Lubitsch's 1942 version of Jewels ahead, with the foundation of a good story, this remake is still great. "To be or not to be"☞ This is a question! The reversal of the play within the play, the Nazis are always so happy to be ridiculed. The World War II comedy debuted 42 Lubitsch's version of "You Escape Me," and then the French "Escape from the Tiger's Mouth".

What's more sad than watching the eunuch version, I read the wrong version, I originally watched the old version of ghosts and gods and watched this. However, the script is strong, the plot is funny, and the actors are good. There are really many excellent films of World War II. It seems that I will start the journey of discovering old films again.
