The real world slowly revealed in the third season,
Humans and robots faced the same problem at the same time: how humans face the real world guided by Rehoboam, just as robots face the world of amusement parks.
The real world directed by Amusement Park and Rehoboam is a systematic order in which individuals play the script. Robots are off-line and real people are off-line. It is a malfunction or disturbance, and it needs to be repaired and destroyed.
The so-called awakening of the individual is determined by the system as a reference.
There is not much difference in essence between an individual's life of "autonomous" life in the script or a life of "autonomous" life in "chaos". But for systems, the underlying principles on which they are built are completely different.
What is the survival and purpose of the system? Which principle to choose as the foundation and which evolution path to choose?

Just like in Asimov's Galactic Empire, the robot Daniel chose to let the human Trevize choose Gaia or the base as the future of mankind.

For individuals and for systems, the optimal choice is a "system" composed of "improved individuals" acting freely.
To break through the curse of social and historical mistakes, individual evolution is needed to break through biological limitations.
