Time to leave

French movies are always like this, beautiful, suffocating, and sad.

It's a very short film that tells a very simple story. Before watching the movie, I thought it was a same-sex theme, but after watching it, I thought it might be more of a life theme. When we were told that this game on earth, we only had three months left, it was like a countdown on the wall when playing an escape room.

How do you leave, how do you say goodbye to someone you are related to?

Roman chose not to say anything, except for his grandmother, because she was also dying. He silently raised his camera and took memorable pictures, although he never saw it again.

In the end, he chose to bask in the sun and lay on the beach to leave. The afterglow of the setting sun sprinkled on his body. Probably, this is the best ending.

It has to be said that the scale of the French is very large, and the family relationship is also very complicated. Emotions and sex seem to be very open and free topics.

Only when you are free can you go deeper.

After watching the movie, I discovered that there was a child lying beside Roman on the poster. In the movie, he always said that he didn't like children, but it was the child who touched him several times. I think his so-called dislike is to avoid certain emotions that are actually very turbulent. Leaving alone and quietly, not the result of a reunion, is very good, this is human nature.

    1. The film should be edited in a large scale, with no extra footage. As long as a story is told clearly and well, 80 minutes is not too short. If not, 100 minutes is too long. 2. The story of a 31-year-old promising photographer whose cancer cells had spread to multiple organs. 3. Movies are the art of time. 4. Jeanne Moreau's performance is particularly moving.

  • [Romain's mother expresses her interest in Romain taking photographs of the family]

Sophie: Save you breath, Mom. We're not hip enough. He prefers actresses and models.

La mère: Don't say that. He just hasn't had time yet.

    Le père: Of course.

    Romain: No, she's right.

La mère: Why do you say that?

Romain: I don't want to photograph her kids.

    Le père: Romaine, stop.

    Sophie: Leave it, Dad.

Romain: And you know why? Because they sprang from you, and your ugly mug would be in the picture. It makes me want to puke.

    La mère: Romaine, stop it!

Romain: No wonder your man left. It's like you made the kids alone.
