Su Qi'er: Another martial arts film that "victory" in the arena

Chinese directors seem to be particularly fond of martial arts films. This may be derived from a Chinese "chivalry" spirit.
A knight can traverse the rivers and lakes without being restrained by etiquette. They don't have to be occupied with official duties every day, but they can also enjoy the "emperor"-like glory in the gang.
Everyone has patriotism and national pride. That pride comes when we are bullied, when we overcome a powerful enemy.
The recent relatively good-looking "Ip Man" and "Ip Man 2", the former ends with defeating the Japanese, and the latter ends with defeating the European and American boxing champions. In the early "Huo Yuanjia", which was not very good-looking, the whole movie was in the ring. In the end, Huo Yuanjia won and died. It seemed so comforting to die.
Now I have seen "Su Qi'er" again. In all fairness, the whole story structure is a grotesque combination of piecing together. The most outrageous thing is that in the end, it still ends with defeating foreign boxers and winning in the ring.
The director seems to want to include a lot of things, but he lacks the ability to tell a story. He uses some big stars to perform as a friendly performance. The result of the performance is that people feel inexplicable and the story is not complete at all.
And each star is not related, and the role cannot stand scrutiny. If everything is based on time, at most it is a Chinese martial arts propaganda film 1, 2, 3.
I admit, I may be mean, after all, people also spent their blood on filming. However, if each film is "similar to each other, it is purely coincidental", then Chinese martial arts movies will have no future.
Now to this fragmented story.
Su Can (Zhao Wenzhuo) has outstanding martial arts, but because of the grievances of his superiors, he is involved in the revenge of his wife's righteous brother. As a result, he was injured, his wife came to the rescue, fled to the mountains, and met Michelle Yeoh, who played the role of friendship. Of course, no matter how many injuries, the "Romantic Fate" in martial arts films can always save the hero from danger. Sure enough, Su Can regained his health, but went into trouble again, and met Jay Chou, the "Martial God" starring in friendship. Among them, Michelle Yeoh is simply elusive. She appeared for nothing more than—first, not to let Su Can die. Second, send Su Can's wife (Zhou Xun) to die. When Su Can's wife (Zhou Xun) found out that her husband was crazy, and shouted "Can" (the English subtitles showed "su"), my heart trembled, because it was so numb and unbearable. Finally, everything developed again according to the grotesque logic. Zhou Xun, who has no martial arts skills, is going to save the child alone, and she doesn't know where her confidence comes from. It is estimated that it was given by the director. Well, looking for a dead end, she was successfully buried alive, and Su Can turned into Su Qi'er because of this.
All of a sudden to Heilongjiang, the Sino-Russian border. I'm a little confused, and it can be seen that my jumping thinking is very limited.
Su Qier doesn't care whether his son lives or dies, he knows how to drink. That's all. Another friendship starring appeared - Guo Xiaodong, he first foreshadowed the next ring competition. Su Qier went to the tavern to drink, met Yan Ni, the proprietress, and met Jay Chou who played a drunken boxing master in reality or fantasy. From this moment, Su Qi'er completed the transformation of triple jump, and he practiced "drunk boxing".
Then, the most tedious part begins. Everyone knows that Guo Xiaodong can't beat foreign boxers, and he has to fight to the death, so he has become a stepping stone for Su Qier to enter the ring.
Su Qier fought against everyone alone and won the game, but fell. Later, his wife (Zhou Xun) was still alive and wandered out in broad daylight, saving his life.
In the end, in a poetic but slightly clumsy computer stunt, the three of them were reunited.
I started to wonder again, what does that mean? Are they all dead? Or did Su Can have a mental attack?
Who will tell me the answer?
If I were to rate it, this movie would fail!
