A journey of discovery and sharing in a dual world

A stray dog broke into the community grocery store and made a fuss. Just when the clerk was about to call the police to catch it, the new girl Opel lied that the dog belonged to her family and casually named the dog Daisy and saved it. This is the story told in a children's film "It's All Caused by Daisy" launched by Fox Film Corporation in 2005. However, the story does not develop like "The Hachiko" and other pet movies. It simply tells the deep affection between the owner and the dog, but through the matchmaking of Dai Qian who can only laugh at people, many people, Many sweet little stories finally gave a happy ending.
The small town depicted in the beginning of the movie is simply the world of lonely people: the old lady in the library who is afraid of bears behind the curtains, unmarried for life, solitary black grandma who is treated as a witch and almost blind, and the lonely landlord who has been resentful all day long. Grandpa, a taciturn pet shop clerk, a four-eyed sister who sucks her fingers when nervous, a fat sister who always frowns and an angry face, a pair of bald twin boys who are troublesome all day... Little Opal was at a loss as to what to do, and her mother's absolute departure when she was three years old created a permanent shadow on her. It is conceivable that her life is indeed uncomfortable.
Fortunately, there is Daisy who "falls from the sky"-this dog who is about to "go crazy" when thunder is really an angel. After a series of accidents and inevitable things, Opel stepped out of self-pity and loneliness, and improved her relationship. The relationship between single fathers has also allowed all kinds of people in the town to re-know themselves and each other.
In the film, one of the "central ideas" is said through the mouth of a black grandmother: We judge a person not by what he has done wrong, but by his playing the guitar and by his attitude towards weak animals. I also borrowed a discontinued limited edition candy to express the second "central idea": while experiencing joy and sweetness, but also thinking of sadness; what can be shared is not only joy, but also sadness. It’s just that after watching the film, I couldn’t understand: What is the relationship between affirming the good side of human nature and thinking of sadness when eating sweets?
I woke up at midnight, thinking about it. Perhaps the state of half-dream and half-awake is the brightest time for the brain. Suddenly I felt a sense of clarity, and then no sleepiness:
Perhaps because it is a child theme, the film reduces the small world to duality. People are dualistic: this is a good person, this is a bad person; I am lonely, I am not alone; this is your strength, that is your weakness. Interpersonal relationship is also binary: I like you, I hate you; he is my friend, he is not my friend. But in the real world, duality is not clear-cut. Otherwise, the earth will be black and white, and everything can be marked with 0 and 1. Therefore, Opel did not believe that the pet shop clerk was a bad person, and the black grandmother also told her to look at the good side of people. So is the positive is everything? In other words, can we only share the positive side of sunshine? The film gives the answer through sugar, which I mentioned earlier. People with merits alone are unreal and not three-dimensional. Therefore, after telling his daughter about the nine advantages of her mother, the single father confided the truth on the tenth point. Taken together, this is the correct attitude towards life-affirm the positive, but also face the negative, and absolutely do not generalize.
It's a pity that many adults don't understand such a simple truth, and even many big people who can influence the trend of history within a certain period of time don't understand or pretend not to understand. Some people were "beaten to death with a stick" because of their race, origin, and past. And there are mortals of my generation who wear colored eyes. Seeing others is a kind of glasses, and seeing yourself is another kind of glasses, no matter which kind is a haha mirror.
Perhaps it is due to age and religious beliefs, this film is not my dish. For pet themes, I still like "The Hachiko" and "Rescue of the Nanda". But find a sunny afternoon, sit on the sofa and take a look, receive some positive energy, and feel very comfortable. Whether it is Kung Fu tea or espresso, if there are more products, you should also have a glass of pure water or juice, which is also beneficial to your body! By the way, this little girl Opel is really cute, a standard beauty embryo, and she is of the kind with high IQ. Even at this point, I will not give a low score to the film :)

Only a Chinese director would make a normal child into a little adult with a mouth full of chicken soup for the soul, and vaguely think of the standardized smiling faces of the children at the Spring Festival Gala. Three stars are given to puppies, in fact, this movie has nothing to do with puppies at all.
