Ingenious structure, full story

Very refined! I can't help thinking how cleverly Mrs. Gaskell has conceived! You can take the three main characters Miss Matty's sister, Miss Matty, the priest's daughter as three nodes, as the three aspects of Goddess Hecate, representing the decline, dark times and revival of Cranford town, especially the beginning of Dr. Harrison When I saw the priest's daughter, the beam of light on the priest's daughter's face, as well as the burning pain on her face, and the May Day celebration not long ago, was simply the rebirth of the spirit of England in the ancient pagan period. The duo of Miss Marple and the Minister of Magic reminds me of that pair in Big Ori, and the often commented, hilarious duo in Digimon Part 4. By the way, Miss Mary is like the author's avatar in the play! But having said so much (I think) of the framework, it is commendable that Mrs. Gaskell brings together the love story, the apprehension of the industrial age, and the simple camaraderie of the townspeople represented by the old ladies All are incorporated into the small town life, making the story (play) so full and vivid, and Mrs. Gaskell's style is not too playful, not too hypocritical to move people's hearts, but a restrained, slightly over-the-top style. A little but a lot of love.
