Having tasted true loneliness, she is no longer afraid of the dark.

After reading it on January 27, 2020, it was the great poet Emily Dickinson who finally attracted me deeply, her growth.

In the beginning, I was very fortunate that in such a powerless environment, she had someone who really understood her and supported her - Su. But as a girl, Su's situation is even more powerless. She was born poor, has no relatives, and is heavily in debt... Even if Su and Emily are equally strong, in such an environment, after all, it is impossible to escape the arrangement of fate.

Later, I began to hope that in such a society, there can be a boy who truly understands and supports her. At first I thought George was the man, but it was clear that he was still too young and naive... Fortunately, Ben showed up, someone who matured and believed in Emily, but unfortunately, Ben passed away.

I finally found out that Emily didn't need to rely on anyone. She loves being with like-minded people and chatting with people who can understand her, but if not, that's okay. Having tasted true loneliness, she is no longer afraid of the dark. Her poems were written for herself, and she had wanted more people to see them, but it didn't matter if she couldn't. She believed that she would become the greatest poet in American history, and there was no need to crave support and affirmation. She is in her room, writing her own poems, binding her own books, telling her own stories, and her extraordinary life.
