Really dull but still watchable Michael Kohlhaas

Sit quietly for two hours and watch Michael Kohlhaas. It was said to be a dull film at Cannes last year, so I prepared more patience in advance. As a result, the rumors are true, and most of the time is indeed dull. The story progresses very fast, on the contrary, the film pace is very slow. Every time I see the director's ingenious use of long shots to express the growth of the team, I have the illusion of "did you just fast-forward while the audience was bored in a daze". The editing of the film is also a problem. Sometimes the plot itself also jumps, and the whole film gives people a feeling of stumbling and not smooth.
When I read the introduction, I thought the plot might be a bit like "Braveheart", but it's not the same thing at all. The director almost gave up the plot, specializing in the expression of the characters' psychology, relying more on the acting skills of the actors, and in fact the performance of the actors is really remarkable. Because of the scattered focus, except for the protagonist Kohlhaas, everyone's role is not much, but the performance is convincing. The advantages of the film are three beauties + three scenes. Sanmei is a beautiful scene, Ma Mei, the protagonist is beautiful, and some scenes were shot very well. I didn't check the information, but I remember that the cost of this film is not high, which is really commendable. One of the three scenes appeared in the trailer, which was played at the opening ceremony of Cannes last year; the second was the rival scene between the two contenders for the best actor in Cannes the year before. ending part. I won't go into details to avoid spoilers.
Before watching the film, I have seen someone complain about the similar problem at the end of the film and "Royal Romance". In fact, this part of Mads Mikkelsen's performance should be said to be particularly good. When the plots and even the scenes are similar, and there are almost no restrictions on body language, it almost perfectly shows the emotional difference between the two. Although the actor of the previous year was not able to join the team, he once again proved that his "micro-acting" was very good.
Then a little rant. Mads Mikkelsen went to Cannes for two years in a row, all "seeking justice". That’s okay, there are always sacrifices in the pursuit of justice. The first time I buried a dog, the second time I buried a man, I saw Mads digging a hole with a shovel in an ancient costume and a familiar posture. It's that innocent and afflicted cute puppy.
In general, it may be because of lowering psychological expectations, this film is not so bad, the story may be slightly worse but still watchable. Samsung to Samsung and a half. By the way, although the ending is a bit sad, the music is particularly beautiful.
