The film is shrouded in a suspenseful atmosphere from the very beginning, and the low-pitched music flows slowly and openly, as if it has an inexhaustible secret. A pair of long legs wearing high heels led us to turn left and right, and finally boarded the train, we were stunned by Sophie Marceau. Although Sophie Marceau's charm is still undiminished, it's just that some traces of the years have climbed up, and her face is a bit tougher, and she no longer has the youthful beauty. But I still love this woman, even though her face is full of vicissitudes, I only love her charming temperament.
The whole film brings us the long-lost suspense of Hitchcock's works, and the director Jerome will not let "Get Away" without a must-have beauty in Hitchcock's films. Like Hitchcock, Jerome is also a self-directed filmmaker. As his first film "Getting Away", we seem to be surprised only in return. There are too many violent action films in Hollywood, but there is no such outstanding master of suspense films as Hitchcock. This young Frenchman shows us a talent. The suspenseful plot is accompanied by a warm French romance. On the contrary, the story is not too complicated and convoluted. It seems a bit concise. Stories unfold between relationships.
One of the biggest suspense in the film is what kind of person Anthony Zimmer will become after plastic surgery, so we always wonder who he will be? This question has always attracted the audience to find the answer, and it has also allowed the audience to immerse themselves in the story of the film from the beginning. When we first saw François on the train, we began to doubt his identity, but the story that followed dissuades us. Even at a certain level I suspected that Giara was the Zimmer with plastic surgery in the most daring way, but that hypothesis soon fell apart. Among the characters who don't appear much in the whole film, we can't find objects that can be assumed, so there is only one possibility, that is, the real Zimmer has not appeared in the film.
However, the film could have kept the audience guessing like this, or gave misleading clues one by one, and then when the film was more than halfway through, the suspense gradually began to be solved, and more and more evidence was telling us the answer. Because the suspense is solved too early, it is a bit disappointing for such a film, and the answer should be left at the end of the film like a Hitchcock film. In the first half of the film, it is the temptation of a beautiful woman with a ghostly plan to a strange man, which shows Sophie Marceau's life and fragrance, which is very interesting. Looking back is the escape of Francois played by Ivan Adal in the midst of crises. It should be said that in such a film with few characters and a simple plot, there are too many highlights, and it should be said that the film is well connected all the time.
The most interesting part of the film is that a man loves the same woman in two identities, and Francois falls in love with Giara in a way of encounter. This is a fresh love full of unknowns. However, as an old lover, Zimel regained her love in a dangerous situation again, how exciting. We can hardly imagine what an old love needs to be able to relive its vitality and impulsiveness, but it does so in the film, as the French romantic nature can imagine.
The film is cleverly conceived, and it is inseparable from the excellent performances of the two actors. If Sophie Marceau's performance is gifted with aura, maybe her gestures are enough to attract the audience's attention. This is a natural star. And Ivan Adal's performance can really be said to be wonderful, he let Francois fool everyone. In fact, on another level, I have always been concerned about the lines of a movie. I think the quality of the lines directly affects the shaping of the characters and the taste of the whole film. The lines of "Escape" are concise and accurate, without trivial words, which is exactly what I want. The mind, appropriately highlights the character's personality.
The structure of the film is also just right, everything seems to be freely retractable, there is no procrastination, and the ending ends neatly. This is also a really likable commercial film. It integrates all kinds of entertainment elements into the film without any deliberate traces, and can touch the discussion about the relationship between love characters in it. This is what I think is successful. Commercial films are attractive to the market without being superficial. And Chinese commercial films also lack the ability to be good at storytelling like "The Escape", and it is very easy to go to extremes in commercial films that follow Hollywood's large-scale production. Only Feng Xiaogang is more capable of telling stories with films.
