Egypt's past

In the context of the eve of Mubarak's downfall, a murder incident led to multiple political effects: corruption, violence and power and money transactions. "The Hilton Incident on the Nile" tells us such a story. Some of the footage of Egypt looks like this:

Although dark, this is the real Egypt.

Interestingly, although this is a film about the situation in Egypt, both the director and the production country are from European teams: director Tariq Saleh is Swedish, production companies Atmo Production, Final Cut for Real and ostlicht filmproduktion are companies from Europe. But the actors are basically from North Africa. This kind of feeling is like we foreigners come to shoot our Chinese things. In my impression of commercial films, "Wolf Totem" is relatively similar, but there are still elements from mainland China involved in the production.

The advantages and disadvantages of the movie are obvious: this is a real Egypt, the lonely police station is more primitive than our telecom business hall, the restless people and the wealthy businessmen who are building high-rise buildings on the other side, see through the widening gap between the rich and the poor. ; The case is not very exciting. Although it is used to see the big from the small, it is generally a little dull.

European directors seem to spend their minds on how to compose pictures. They are not very demanding in terms of plot. The whole story is straightforward and extremely dull. You can say it is true, but entertainment and pleasing the audience are indeed not what they consider. scope. The problem is that this background permeates the entire film, and it is difficult for you to find some surprising points in it. In other words, the production staff are not very shrewd in the arrangement of the plot; See the big, but the pattern is there, the relationship has been sorted out, just like the clues tidy up the puppets, you want to force it to expand, it is so completely impossible.

Although this film basically does not belong to the category of commercial films, the rigorous and beautiful composition can still be well received by the authoritative American media; for the political thriller, I thought of the previously released "British Showdown" starring Jackie Chan. The types of the two are similar, but the latter has more commercial elements such as action and explosion, while Martin Campbell also has some realistic elements. Of course, the language of the shots is slightly lacking, but the upgraded version of this commercial type is more realistic and compositional. Compared with the Hilton Incident on the Nile, I believe the audience will be more enjoyable to watch, although Jackie Chan does not play a big role in it.
