71 Fragments of the Chronicle of Opportunity

A homeless child

, a student who loves to make cardboard,

a couple adopting an orphan, a couple

with a rift,

an old man living on a social pension, and

finally connected because of a bank shooting.

The film is always interspersed with political and social news from 1993.

After making two films limited to one family, the director decided to expand the scope to "society". Fragments are the composition of life. We see very little and understand less. The closer the times are, the less any author dares to create omnisciently. Only through fragments can we honestly tell stories and stimulate the audience.

The "Glacier Trilogy" originates from glaciers, and it also established the characteristics and tone of Michael Haneke's later works:

1. Cool tones, clear shots

2. Absence of soundtrack (or minimalist)

3. Action instead Psychological activity

4, violence simplification

5, open-ended theme, theme: art is to magically convey the lies in the truth. Focus on expressing uncommunicable relationships in a reality that is colder than "reality"; happiness is not easy to come by, in other words, happiness is fleeting.
