it's a love story

There's nothing wrong with the love story in the title. Love story also means love story in most English contexts, forcibly interpreting it as "love story" is an overtranslation. This film is not without love. At the beginning, there is a 12-year-old girl looking at her mother's ambiguous expression when she is fishing for Kaizi. The scene where the male protagonist meets the female protagonist for the first time in the bar also clearly explains that the man is love at first sight (the female protagonist is continuing to fish for Kaizi..) . At the last parting, the little girl can have different interpretations of "I love you" said by the male protagonist, but before saying this, the little girl asked the male protagonist: "You've never been married, right?" So I tend to understand that after experiencing this incident, the little girl's trust in the male lead, to her dependence, and then to the beginning of her love affair, also responded to the little girl's emotional germination at the beginning. Wouldn't it be weird to have a separate scene otherwise? From the beginning to the end, the male protagonist helped the female protagonist, not the little girl, so why did the little girl say goodbye to the male protagonist in the end, and the female protagonist just watched from a distance? The heroine also realized that explaining things about this man clearly is a very crucial scene in the little girl's growth. More importantly, how do you view the motives of the male protagonist? Is it really just that there is no way for justice to suppress violence? Although the defense lawyers are strong, the case is not hopeless. The lawyers themselves asked the defendants to consider the option of serving three years in prison in advance. The real motive of the male protagonist is that he does not want the female protagonist and her family to be repeatedly hurt during the litigation process in the next few years, especially in the conflicts with lawyers, the public, and the perpetrators and their families. As a man who loves the heroine, he feels that even if the justice of this kind of law is finally served, it is not worth bearing the damage that comes with it, and there is a high possibility that justice will be completely buried. To replace you, what else can I do? Such motives cannot be easily summed up by "repressing violence with violence". So he only fired one shot, so he finally faced the review and faced the lawyer with a clear conscience, decisive and calm. This is not an impulsive revenge, but the only way to go after careful consideration. This movie is underrated. The narrative technique is restrained, it is not necessarily superficial. The director has the intention to draw a clear line with many revenge films. If you think it is too bland, it is because the director deliberately diluted a lot of routine drama conflicts bound with "revenge". emotional mobilization. It is precisely because of this blandness that the film has a different meaning. Many details are very attentive and worth pondering. Especially the last sentence of the male protagonist, "I hope you will never need my services." The lawyer who is so tongue-in-cheek goes away without saying a word. He knew that no matter how invincible he was in court, he couldn't defeat such a man. I will remember for a long time.

Also, the movie seems to be a remake. . I haven't seen the original, but I'll check it out when I get a chance.
