Given its context and elements, you can't look at it without political metaphors

"The Cowboys of Leningrad". As Aki's best movie, it's extremely cool and irredeemably romantic. It's like a great silent movie + a great work of a hundred years of loneliness. I haven't seen a really reliable interpretation. My understanding is that as a film made during this period of great change in '89, with Leningrad in the name and the axe and sickle flag, democracy, obedience and exploitation, obviously, you can't get around political metaphors go see it. For example, if you think of this manager who first came to the fore, exploited the band members, had obvious privileges, was overthrown by the awakened members, tried almost all genres with the band, and finally left mysteriously after his success in Mexico, as Gorbachev, isn't it a lot more interesting?
