I like this movie. I know the director pays homage to silent films from the 1960s. Even though it's a 2012 film, I like that art form; it's very chic. The tale of this film is simple and normal, in which a married woman, named Aurora, falls in love with another man, Ventura, and the love between them But the director uses special effects to show us the tale. The name of the film is "Tabu." The hill where Aurora lives is called "Tabu." This word also has the meaning "forbidden", which exactly describes their love. Love is taboo. In my opinion, the crocodile means love or the heart of Dawn.

When the crocodile fled from the pool to Ventura's house, Aurora's heart also left the house and chose Ventura. Their passion is fatal. The part of the elderly Aurora is called "Paradise Lost", and time passes day after day; and the part of the young Aurora is called "Paradise", and time passes month after month. I would like to say that life when she was young was happier, so she thinks time goes by faster. In the second part, the voice of the original characters' dialogue is hidden, leaving only ambient sounds and narration, which gives the audience a sense of distance and restriction in the expression of emotions.
