Issued before season 13 comes out.

s06e01/02 The Impossible Astronaut/ Day of the Moon

Rating: 7/10(part 1) 2/10(part 2)

These two episodes really can't be watched alone, which is why I was a little disappointed after watching them at the time. Because there are a lot of unanswered questions left in these two episodes, there is no point in watching the full season. But it's actually good for Magic to try different modes, including splitting a whole season into two parts, which I personally like. I really don't like that Dr. Song Jiangbi can drive the TARDIS. Many of the settings of Magic Special Plus are more difficult for me than Timeless Child. However, I also like some of the settings of Magic, and Silence is another species in the new version of DW that impresses me. I'd be happier if the RTD2-era Magic came back, and he's only in charge of figuring out the species setting. I liked a lot of things in the last episode: Silence, astronauts (a tribute to the story of the old ambassador), Canton, etc. However, I was a little disappointed in the next episode. Of course, it may be that Magic was often very excited in the first episode. Very much looking forward to it, but the ending feels a bit perfunctory as soon as the next episode arrives. The next episode will be very... American drama? In fact, from the beginning of this season, I feel that there is a feeling of American drama. On the one hand, it may be that the quality of the special effects has come up, but instead the Ooh Ahh Ahh sensation is gone. And I can't quite accept Silence brainwashing humans to go to the moon just to get space suits, really? I think Magic has the same problem with CC: a story stuffed with a lot of stuff. Like CC's infamous season 12 finale with Cybermen and Mage and Timeless Child, there's so much to talk about that it doesn't make it all right. This episode of Magic is a little better because it doesn't address the identity of the astronaut, the mystery of Amy's pregnancy, the woman who suddenly appears, and the mystery of the Doctor's lunch, so there's more time for Silence. In terms of controlling the rhythm, Magic is still much better than CC. However I don't like the explanation of the whole event in the next episode, and then the emotional scene between Amy and Rory really doesn't know why it gives me a fake sense of choreography.

I like this lens

s06e03 The Curse of the Black Spot

Rating: 5/10

I like that Amy has fight scenes, not the old-fashioned kidnapping or something. The Dr. gasping scene is so funny, I like it. I can accept the comedy in this episode. The strange thing is that the three people were not sent for medical treatment after being teleported. Of course, it may be because the doctor disturbed the procedure, but it still makes sense. And then there's another crew member who doesn't know where to go halfway through the show, and that's a point deduction, since I don't like Season 5 so I don't accept that he got sucked in by the cracks. I actually like the emotional scene of Amy and Rory here, I think it's more convincing than Magic's description. Seems like a lot of people hate this episode, but I actually like it. Kind of reminds me of that Shakespeare episode, kind of explained myths and legends in terms of aliens/alien technology. In fact, I personally like this kind of gameplay. And at the end, a group of pirates turned into space pirates (?) is quite suitable for a spin-off.

s06e04 The Doctor's Wife

Rating: 8/10

I love TARDIS. I think the big reason I love this episode is because of the personified TARDIS, and I don't hate her but I really like her aura, so I can suppress the superhero attitude of the Doctor. And this episode made me believe that the bad wolf at the end of the first season was actually TARDIS and not Rose. The adventures of Amy and Rory are also pretty good, and the favorite password has to pass through the bridges that you want to solve. But I really don't think there is any chemistry between 11 Ren and TARDIS, so it's a pity, plus the doctor will marry Song Jiang later, it more or less ruined this episode for me. It may be good to be separated into two seasons. These two stories are a bit destroyed in the same season. In addition, this season has a very obvious main line, which somewhat weakens the independence of each story.

Deduction for this line

s06e05/06 The Rebel Flesh/ The Almost People

Rating: 4/10(part 1) 0/10(part 2)

These two episodes can be called the Lazarus Experiment of the sixth season. The core setting of the two stories is to serve the main story, and then there are villains in strange forms. I really hate the plot setting where the Doctor knows everything. The Doctor here is a bit like the annoying "psychiatrist" kind of "I know what you're thinking" and "you can't guess what I'm doing" attitude. Seriously, maybe I'd love it if it was written like Midnight and saw the replicants and no one could tell who was the real person and then got to grips with the horse a little bit. The contradiction between the real person and the replicant feels very CC: Humans are the villains. These two episodes are a bit weird. The core idea is a bit bumped with New Earth, but the whole presentation is weird. It feels like the Doctor is letting a real person pick up a lunch so that the replicator can replace it. The next episode somewhat proves why I don't like 11 Ren very much, that is, the two doctors together have a weaker sense of existence than one person. The whole arrangement of the next episode is a bit messy, and the lines are also inexplicable, and then the replicator Jennifer made another replicator and threw her to get the lunch box, just to deceive Rory, and later still felt that the real person made the replicator take the lunch box in pain. ... and a group of you who are thinking about how to block the door, why don't you all rush to the TARDIS, of course, the TARDIS just happened to fall there, which is more unreasonable than Dr. Satan Pit finding the TARDIS underground. My thinking is: if a replicator is simply a replica of a real person, then it is impossible for a replicator to have thoughts and behaviors that go beyond their own, but if a replicant has the ability to think independently, then the replicant is not the same person as the real person, even if They have the same memory. Of course, it may be because the characters are not well-shaped, and they feel that the personalities of replicas and real people are still very different, so I think it is not advisable for replicas to replace real people. The individual is replaced. Then Doctor Ending melted the replicant Amy without hesitation. The next episode is true and I can't find any good points. No matter how much I hate magic special scripts, at least his script structure will not be too out of bounds and the logic is still self-consistent. In this next episode, some things happened in a mess. Maybe it's too esoteric and I'm stupid so I can't understand it.

The plot here is so weird

s06e07 A Good Man Goes to War

Rating: 4/10

Rory was very cringey (?) against Cybermen at the beginning, I didn't feel that wow, I just felt uh. The passage where the Doctor imitates the fighter plane is also... I am more disappointed that I don't see any strategy on the Doctor's side in this war, it seems very casual. Magic's handling of the plot in this episode is very different from most of the previous stories, and I quite like this somewhat unexpected arrangement: for example, the inexplicable trio and the traitor in the villain's army, etc. This episode kind of starts at the end of an event, with a little bit of anecdotal synopsis. However, I really don't like the idea that Time Lord can be born after humans do it in TARDIS. It is said that the setting of Timeless Child is bad. I think this setting is really worse than that. Of course, maybe I have such a high tolerance for Timeless Child. Maybe since this episode is canon, why can't Timeless Child be canon. Then the character arc of Dr. felt that the bedding was not enough, anyway, I can't feel that kind of character development. The setting that Song Jiang is Amy and Rory's daughter has been suggested by someone in Huanxiang, so I'm not surprised at all by the result.

I really don't think this is a good idea

s06e08 Let's Kill Hitler

Rating: 2/10

Another episode of Title Party. After the previous episode was dealt with, this episode was dealt with in the same way, and Amy's best friend suddenly appeared. For me, this episode is the originator of chat chat chat. It's the kind of chat plot that I can't stand. In fact, I can accept the kind of CC. This season is divided into two parts. In the two parts, the doctor has to receive the bento, which really made me feel numb to the doctor's bento.

TARDIS is the real palace

s06e09 Night Terrors

Rating: 4/10

Mike is normal. I quite liked the doll house scene, but it was quite boring overall. Compared to this episode, I can accept the father-son relationship in this episode, but I can't stand the father-son relationship in Closing Time.

s06e10 The Girl Who Waited

Rating: 7/10

I love stories of the bad consequences of traveling with the Doctor, and it would have been perfect if Amy just walked out. The older Amy is more in my heart, I have always had no feelings for Amy, and then this episode made me feel more affectionate for Amy as a character. The emotional drama between Amy and Rory is a little more sincere than the magic feature. However, in the Replicant episode, the protagonist group was so willing to accept replicants to replace real people, and the universe restarted, I can't understand the old Amy does not want to be replaced by the younger Amy, although the idea of the old Amy is still understandable. Rewatching this episode doesn't feel as good as it used to be.

It is undeniable that the DW after the magic special takes power is much better than the RTD1 era.

s06e11 The God Complex

Rating: 6/10

CC should make Yaz a character like Rita, although I can't feel Rita's companion temperament at all, but at least Rita looks more independent, more real and more recognizable than Yaz. I don't really like the kind of dialogue with the tauren in this episode, which is a bit lazy. The rewatch of this episode is a bit better than the original look, but it always feels bad. It's great that Amy and Rory just walk away like that, and there's so much more to come.

The Doctor is alone, which is one of the highlights of the season

s06e12 Closing Time

Rating: 3/10

After rewatching it, I thought it was quite funny, and the solution in this episode was to treat Cybermen as a joke, so... But the first part is still more acceptable than I remembered, and the comedy parts are not too embarrassing.

s06e13 The Wedding of River Song

Rating: 4/10

I quite like the world that Song Jiang rebelled against. The storytelling technique of the doctor is not bad, but it is similar to A Good Man Goes to War, starting from the end of the story. The story told by the doctor is the synopsis. Dalek's combat power was really weak during the Magician's reign. Played the trick magic that never happened again, I didn't really like RTD season 3's time travel/world reboot stuff, and then played it again in season 5, and then again in season 6 Come on, I think it's the same story at the end of the seventh season. I'm tired. It may be that the ambitions of this season are so high that they are looking forward to the end of the season, but now that I think about it, there are so many things in one episode of Fortress, it should not answer too many questions, let alone raise new ones. I have no feelings for the love between Rose and the doctor. It's really a bit unbearable to watch the love between Song Jiang and the doctor in this episode. At least the former does not put love at the core of the entire season finale. don't like either. As for that question, I think it's cringey. It's like deifying the Doctor to the center of the universe. They all say that CC's Timeless Child makes the Doctor special and important, but this episode is more than that.

The expression on my face when I watch most of the magic special scripts

The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe

Rating: 4/10

In fact, Magic is very suitable for writing Christmas specials, and his fairy tale script is very suitable for this kind of festive festival. If the RTD2 era magick returned, he would be suitable to write a Christmas special. I think the ending of the Monk trilogy in season 10 is a remake of this episode. I actually thought the drama of the trio at the end was very well drawn up, I changed.

overall evaluation:

Rating: 5/10

In fact, I quite like the world that Magicte built in this season, but the plot is forgot. I think this season is more like a fairy tale than the last one, and the textures this season are a little bit more epic. This season looks better than the last season, maybe because I more or less completely gave up on Magic after this season, so everyone said that the seventh season was bad, but I actually think it's pretty good. Maybe it's because of magic. When I don't have any hope, I will be more accepting of his script. And if I watch it again, I will feel that the fifth season disappointed me a lot, but the sixth season, Silence's idea is pretty good. After the thirteenth season comes out, I think Magic will be very angry, because I feel that the structure of the series of the thirteenth season should be what Magic wants to do this season. In fact, if this season is not regarded as DW, but an American drama, I may not be so disgusted, because I will forget it after watching it, and I will not be disappointed because I have no expectations.

The Impossible Astronaut quotes

  • The Doctor: Fellows, the guns, really? I just walked into the highest security office in the United States and parked a big blue box on the rug. Do you think you can just shoot me?

    River Song: They're Americans!

The Doctor: [puts his hands up] Don't shoot.

  • The Doctor: Oh, you bad, bad girl. What trouble have you got for me this time?

    [River slaps him]

The Doctor: Okay. I'm assuming that's for something I haven't done yet.

    River Song: Yes, it is.

The Doctor: Good. Looking forward to it.
