In fact, when the story reached its climax, when the hero discovered that the town was already occupied by robots, I started to wonder how the film will end.

It may end with the male protagonist waking up and discovering that everything is an illusion after drunkenness, (the short comment can see that some people have such thoughts), but the host thinks this is very cliché and too cruel. Because of this ending, it means that the male protagonist will continue to live as a loser and return to a frustrated life after waking up.

The ending of the film is all the way to the black. The male protagonist finally realized his dream of life and started an exciting sci-fi apocalyptic adventure with a bunch of his favorite robot brothers.

This ending expresses the hero's persistent pursuit of freedom and his original intention of never changing.

The earth after the retreat of alien civilization, technology is retrogressive, barren and decadent, but it is the biggest paradise for male protagonists. And in stark contrast to the hero

's vigor, the endings of all office workers and friends seem to be very declining. This shows that the screenwriter is positive about the hero's attitude and ideals in life.

The World's End quotes

  • Gary King: [at The First Post, everyone except Andy has ordered a pint of lager] I can't fucking believe this. A man of your legendary prowess drinking fucking... rain. It's like a lion eating hummus.

Steven Prince: That doesn't make any sense.

Gary King: You're right it doesn't.

  • Gary King: You really had to replace the entire town?

The Network: Well not the whole town.

Gary King: Well yeah everyone except for Odd Ball and the Shifty Twins!

Steven Prince: That would make a great name for the band. Gary, write that down.
