Synopsis

"Good Detective" took place in Los Angeles in the 1970s. The hapless private detective Holland March (Ryan Gosling [Ryan Gosling]) and the hired thug Jackson Healy (Russell K Law [Russell Crowe] must work together to solve a missing girl case and a death case of a porn star that seems unrelated to it. During the investigation, they discovered a shocking conspiracy involving the highest levels of power.

At the beginning, I couldn't figure out the clues at all, and I skipped to the next scene before I knew the story. The character's dialogue is also incomprehensible, and he doesn't understand that the fat man clearly found Emilia, why everyone rushed to find Emilia afterwards. Fortunately, I continued to watch this-detective comedy.

Is it a comedy? From the plot point of view, indeed, two unfamiliar private detectives, plus a 13-year-old Lori, all kinds of funny American humor are staged in turn.

Or tragedy? From the perspective of the ending, everyone related to that film, co-director Dean and Emilia, starring Misty, producer Sid, and projectionist Chet, were all killed and should be punished. The people were not affected in any way.

This group of detective partners is not like "Sherlock", the division of brain and physical strength is clear, and it is not as stark as the domestic drama "Chinatown Detective", where one is responsible for causing trouble and the other is responsible for wiping the butt.

Fat Jack, Irish descent, grew up in a slum, was betrayed by his wife (hooked up with his father-in-law, but also dog-blooded). He lived in a difficult life. He lived by "taking people's money and helping others to eliminate disasters". He was often employed by parents with daughters. , Came to beat up the gangster who hooked up with other people's daughter.

Ma Qi, smoking and drinking all day long, does not stick to the trivial, does not do business, his mouth is cheap, reckless, declining and persuaded. But his dangling appearance also concealed the sadness. His wife told him many times that there was a problem with the stove. He had a bad nose and couldn't smell the gas leak, so he dragged him to fix it. Later, his wife died in a fire. Holly, March's daughter, is much more reliable than him. Tact and brave, he doesn't panic when he meets bad guys, he has a clear thinking and is very calm even when he raises the gun. He has been a god assist for my father many times. Simple and kind, twice persuaded Uncle Jack not to choke the dying bad guy to death.

March is hired to investigate Emilia's whereabouts, and Emilia finds Jack and asks him to help her get rid of tracking and investigation, so the two begin to meet. In fact, March’s employer asked him not to find Emilia, but the porn star Misty (I took a look at it, Misty really wore a blue and white pinstripe suit in the film). But he found Emilia's car in the surveillance video near Misty's house. And the person Jack needs to help her get rid of is not the accidental March, but the killer hired by her mother-in order to destroy the evidence, she wanted to put Emilia and her friends to death.

The young Americans in the 1970s were precocious, depressed, and addicted to sex and alcohol. However, they are also indignant, passionate, full of fighting spirit, and daring to fight. The younger generation pays attention to air pollution and the homes of birds, which is in sharp contrast with the government that blindly pursues economic development. Although Emilia's mother is the head of the Department of Justice, she and her friends used the film to reveal the inside story of the Detroit car manufacturer's exhaust purifier case. Although the channels and resources are limited, and even though their friends have been killed one after another, they still use pornography as a gimmick to edit the film into the promotional film of the Los Angeles Auto Show and broadcast it at the opening ceremony. Every link has been exhausted and struggling.

In fact, I didn't know that I was an enemy of the judiciary for the car company's exhaust incident. This is not a fuss. After all, they all died in the end and the exhaust was still emitted. But people always do something for a certain belief, sometimes at the cost of their lives. The concept of environmental protection, it is precisely because of these pioneers and victims that it can affect more people.

Ms. Kutner, the powerful Minister of Justice, reminds me of the similar Deputy Mayor of Sheep in "Zoo City", in order to eliminate carnivores, arrange and kill. The difference is that in the cartoon, Mayor Goat was dismantled and went to jail, while in the United States in 1978, whether the attorney general or the car manufacturer, all escaped punishment and were safe. Can the beautiful vision of utopia be realized? Maybe after all, I can't escape the real life of "everything is the same." Shouldn't be so pessimistic. Sometimes, the farce ends, the laughter disappears, but the echo keeps on and the thinking continues.

"Iron Man 3" director Shane Black's new comedy work written and directed after 3 years of silence is really different! Benge's reasoning stalks are witty, retro and funny, and clever, and all kinds of lines are full of cold stalks. But as inflated as The Jungle Book, at least in my opinion.

Call five-star support, interesting and worth learning. Hope there are more commercial films like this. These two dog-eye combinations like them, please make a sequel. The photography and DI are superb. I checked it and the director of photography is Philip Ruslow (one of the main lectures of "Light and Shadow Creation Class")

Jackson Healy: Well yeah. However there are people trying to kill her right, like John Boy

    Holly March: Who's John Boy?

    Jessica: He's on The Waltons

Jackson Healy: No a different John Boy

  • Chet: Dean was a filmmaker. Kinda, like, experimental kindsa films. That's actually, like, kinda how we, we met, 'cause I'm kind of in the, in the business myself.

Jackson Healy: What do you do?

    Chet: Projectionalist.
