The magnificent pastoral of the grassland

Documentary, in my impression, is like recording a historical moment or a war. Maybe all I have come into contact with are such examples. However, "Crying Camel" has led me into a strange national journey. With the wind and sand on the grassland, I seemed to smell the cold Mongolian air and entered the warm yurt. "Crying Camel" has such a magical power, allowing us to experience the primitive lifestyle of this nation that is closest to nature.

The closest friend of mankind
For the grassland people, the camel is not only a source of survival, but also a dependable friend. Therefore, in "Crying Camel", we see that the Mongolian people treat camels like their relatives and take care of them, even their breeding period is a major event in the whole family.
The content of the whole film is just a simple camel dystocia and finally gave birth to a rare white camel, but refused to raise his own baby camel. However, the director used the form of a documentary to make the plot of the whole story look more ups and downs, revealing the kindness of Mongolian shepherds in a simple way.
For the care of a little camel, the whole family launched an action to "save the little white camel", and even went all the way to hire a musician. What surprised me was that the Mongolian shepherd mobilized the whole family for a camel. It can be seen that for the Mongolians, the camel is not only a close friend of their lives, but also the sustenance of their worship.

The simple folk style
director showed the most natural and simple folk style of Mongolian herdsmen through the lens without any modification, highlighting the hard work of the Mongolian people. It can be seen that the director has a deep nostalgia for this land and his people, otherwise he would not Filming such a full-fledged documentary. The shepherd's singing, dancing, kind and simple personality is presented to the world through the lens of the director, allowing foreigners on the other side of the ocean to look directly at Asia and Mongolia, the most straightforward emotional expression of the people who depend on the sky for food. Not pretentious, or even adding any sound effects, but it can melt people's hearts.
At the end of the film, the melodious singing of the shepherd woman combined with the sad sound of matouqin moved the camels and melted the audience. That is the call brought by the primitive family affection and the feelings produced by the inter-mind communication between humans and animals. There is an ancient Mongolian legend that the corner of the camel's eyes is like tears forever. But I believe that under the care of the shepherd, the camel will live a happy life.

The word of God is handed over to the chief performer, and through the sound of the wind, the harp, and the singing, it tells all living beings to love their son as themselves, to be patient and kind.

Janchiv: Now my children I'll tell you the story of the weeping camel. Many years ago, God gave antlers to the camel as a reward for the goodness of its heart. But one day a rogue deer came and asked the camel to lend him his antlers. He wanted to adorn himself with them for a celebration in the west. The camel trusted the deer and gave him his antlers, but the deer never brought them back. Since then the camels keep gazing at the horizon and still await the deer's return.
