Personal comment:

Israel’s gay movies are not uncommon, including the familiar "My Lover in the Army" and "The Bubble", etc.; but these films are all directed by Japanese directors and directed by authentic Israelis. Gay movies are not common. This movie is an example.

Israel believes in Judaism. Like Christianity, Catholicism and Islam, Judaism regards love, peace, and sexual relations between two same sexes as sinful acts; in other words, Judaism does not Homosexuality is allowed; however, there will always be people who hope to break the invisible shackles to find the sky of freedom. One can imagine: this road must be full of thorns and difficulties; whether to give up or persist depends on how much love you have. Deep.

Homosexuality and Judaism: Orthodox Judaism

From the establishment of religion until the 20th century, Judaism regarded sex between two men as a sin. Orthodox Judaism traditionally condemns homosexuality, but sex between two women has not received such strong opposition. On the other hand, even those who attack homosexuality will attack specific sexual behaviors, especially anal sex, rather than just treating homosexuality as a hobby or tendency. Recently, the fact that Judaism has begun to accept and even welcome people who believe in Judaism has led people to try to reinvestigate the ban. Although this is not universally accepted, it is an ongoing process as more and more Jewish believers are accepted.

Eyes Wide Open quotes

  • Rabbi Vaisben: [translated] He who dwells in abstinence is a sinner. A man who prevents himself from drinking wine is a sinner. He makes a sacrifice. Why? God doesn't want a man to suffer. He shouldn't cause himself sorrow. Why has God created the world? To make good for us, to ease our souls.

Aaron Fleischman: Rabbi, this doesn't satisfy me. He who drinks wine doesn't want to deal with the challenge. Worshipping God is an everyday duty. It means loving the difficulties. Being a slave of God means loving the hardship.

  • Aaron Fleischman: [translated] Restrain yourself. Restrain yourself. We have an opportunity to rise, to overcome, to fulfill our destiny in this world. This challenge wouldn't have come to us if we couldn't face it.
