In addition to miracles and beauty, we still have a life

I'm used to always read other people's comments before watching a movie, and I always choose the top movies to watch.

I wrote this time because everyone said they didn’t like the movie, and there were only a few opinions. Think about it, I think my opinion is different, so I write it down.

In fact, I still like this film. The rhythm is not hurried or slow, and there is nothing particularly low or high, like reading a story that is not very passionate, or understanding a person who is not very character. I don’t know what to express when I see other people’s writing. In fact, what Helen wants to say is that this world is not just full of miracles or beauty, excitement or sadness. More surprises cross life, and sadness runs through life.

The heroine Helen was adopted since she was a child, and her personality is of course sensitive. For example, she longs to be a mother to make up for the lack of security in her childhood, but insists on not adopting children, because she feels that the adoptive mother looks at her and her foster mother’s younger brother differently. But she endured a lot in silence, such as her inability to do anything about marriage. At the age of 40 at middle age, she was still pessimistic but endured the giving of life. Until her mother passed away and her marriage was broken, she met a man she called Colin who knew her best.

The two people came together for similar reasons (marital breakdown), and also because their personalities can complement each other. Because helen can tolerate colin's irritability and extreme, and colin can also make up for helen's sensitivity and help her solve some problems in life.

Take it for granted that the story develops. When two people lie on Colin’s bed after their first date, two children fall asleep in the middle. The little daughter Ruby gave Helen the funny frog, and Helen gave the little daughter Ruby a mint candy. . The sun flooded the entire screen, I thought the story would have a happy ending.

But it turned out that Helen was pregnant, but he was the child of his ex-husband. So there was a scene that everyone thought was funny, and two men accompanied her for a check-up. Helen couldn't control the kissing of his ex-husband because of hormonal relations or because the child was from his ex-husband. But after the passion, she suddenly realized that she had made a very serious mistake. Run to confess guilt with Colin, begging for forgiveness.

Colin's rage couldn't be restrained, and the relationship between the two broke. It was precisely because of his anger that he vented the anger that had been suppressed in my heart for so many years against his ex-wife and abandoning his son. Thinking that the two people broke up, helen could return to his ex-husband and wait for delivery with peace of mind.

But it turned around again. She had a miscarriage. After the miscarriage, Helen realized that there was no point in being with her ex-husband. And her mood was very depressed because of the loss of her child. She listened to her younger brother's opinion and asked her biological mother to pay as a remedy for discarding her that year, and let her do expensive artificial insemination.

It wasn't until the quarrel with her biological mother before the operation that she suppressed her insecurities and doubts about the world, family, and love in the bottom of her heart for so many years. For the past 40 years, she has lived for life, quarreling with her adoptive mother because of a sense of security, marrying because of a sense of security, and having sex because of a child. She never really solved her problems, just like praying because she wanted God's love but never believed in her heart.

Here, both helen and colin know themselves better because of these.

Helen accepted her brother's suggestion and adopted her own child, because she realized that she was no longer afraid of facing her broken childhood, and also realized that the adopted child was actually a blessing in misfortune. Colin also realized that life is not so perfect, and that the promises he has made may also be broken. He learned to come out of the injury and endure some flaws.

The two finally came together.

The ending of the story is that Jewish story. In order to train the child's courage, the father told his son to jump down the high steps. The son is scared. Father said, please believe that I don't have to be afraid that I will accept it. The son jumped down for the first time and the father caught him as expected. The second time, his father did not catch him, and the child was hurt and crying very sad.

We believe in all good things at the beginning of life, and we are sometimes lucky to get these good things. But sometimes, we are unlucky and get hurt. But this is life, the good is good, the bad is not good. The important thing is that we know ourselves and love others so that we can understand our own lives.

There is also an important character in the movie. Forgive me for not writing about her in detail. He is Helen's biological mother. Very happy old lady who knows life well. She knows how to be selfish, how to give up, how to lie, and how to admit that she knows how to be a man because she understands herself and her life. Of course I am not admiring her, but existence is reasonable, and she is also part of life.

In addition to miracles and beauty, we still have a life.

PS Uncle Darcy did not disappoint me, this is really a good movie^^

  • Frank: The walk didn't work. You're mother's here.

April Epner: No she's not, I told her to wait in the car.

[Frank drags her around the corner]

  • April Epner: Your wife was seeing someone else?

Frank: Pretty much everyone else. I was too much for her.

April Epner: Your wife? I'm sure she didn't feel that way.

April Epner: What did she say?

Frank: 'You're too much for me.'
