The Pixar Story

I really didn't expect a documentary to move me so much, and even give me an urge to cry. Because it took me to relive the cartoons I watched when I was a kid. When I was ten years old, my uncle gave me 4 Disney cartoon CDs as a birthday gift. They were Tarzan the Ape, Mulan (2D), Toy Story 1 (3D), and I couldn’t remember one of them. Toy Story is undoubtedly my favorite one. When I was in elementary school, the Children’s Day school organized to go to the cinema to watch a movie, and I couldn’t forget the Finding Nemo that moved me to tears at that time. The first movie I went to the cinema with a group of classmates after graduating from elementary school was Cars Story. I was completely fascinated at the time. I also deeply remember the Superman Story on late-night TV, which made me forget to sleep. However, at that time I always thought that these movies were all Disney, because I clearly remembered the Mickey Mouse print on the CD (it should have been acquired by Disney at that time). It wasn't until after high school that I slowly learned of Pixar and Steve Jobs. In the later days, I also watched movies produced by Pixar such as Flying House, Monsters University, Robot Story, and animation movies produced by Pixar such as How to Train Your Dragon, Frozen, and Big Hero 6, as well as Hayao Miyazaki Shinkai Makoto. Waiting for Japanese cartoons. But I don’t know if Pixar fits my aesthetic best, or my aesthetic is influenced by Pixar subtly. In short, the one that I admire the most among so many cartoons is Pixar, and the one that touches me the most is also Pixar. Whether it’s Toy Story, Undersea Whether it’s the general mobilization, the robot general mobilization, or the Flying House Travels, each one touches my heart, and each one makes me cry uncontrollably. No matter how advanced and exquisite the technical effects are, the most important thing is the content, or the emotions that want to be conveyed through the film that countless fans love and move. The documentary presents the story behind the brilliance. Those directors who have dreams of animated films, your hard work and dedication are touching, and your works are touching. Thank you for bringing a creative and touching animation film to animation fans all over the world. For me, your animation film has kept me innocent innocence, right. The curiosity of this world, and the firm belief in the beauty of the world. When I was young, what I saw was in front of the stage. Now I understand behind the scenes. Growing up is a journey towards reality and uncovering dreams. The cruel reality is sometimes disappointing. Fortunately, animation is accompanied as a kind of comfort, but absolutely Non-evasion, and can draw energy from it makes us more motivated to fight. Foreword All the words converge into countless moving, I love animation, I love Pixar.

Steve Jobs: Pixar's seen by a lot of folks as an overnight success, but if you really look closely, most overnight successes took a long time.

  • Brad Bird: Now that I've made a Pixar film, a lot of people have asked, "What is the secret formula?" As if there's some magical calculation. And I say, "It's really pretty simple, everyone here loves films. And they just wanna make something that they themselves wanna see."
